What if they Don’t Listen? President Eyring on Teaching the Gospel to Those You Love.
Sometimes we love someone so much… that we want to give them the most valuable thing we have: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
But it’s not always easy. Sometimes, after teaching with love, setting a good example, and praying with faith, we wonder: Did it help? Am I doing enough? Am I doing it right?

President Henry B. Eyring understands that sentiment perfectly. In a new video titled “The Word of God’s Powerful Effect on the Mind”, he shares a truth that can give you peace today: “Your teaching of that sacred doctrine will be remembered by those you love and teach.”
Even if you don’t see it… something is growing
Sometimes we don’t see the fruits immediately. But God’s word is more powerful than any other tool. President Eyring reminds us with the words of Alma:
“The preaching of the word…had more powerful effect upon the minds of the people than the sword, or anything else” (Alma 31:5).
Yes, even if it seems like nothing’s happening today… your testimony has been planted. And the Holy Spirit will do His work at the perfect time.

The power of remembering
President Eyring shared beautiful examples from the Book of Mormon: Enos, Alma the Younger, and the sons of Mosiah. They all had dark times, but they remembered the teachings of their fathers.
And that memory saved them.
“[T]he words which I had often heard my father speak… sunk deep into my heart” (Enos 1:3).
Don’t give up: what you do matters
Maybe you haven’t seen the fruits yet. Maybe your family member, your friend, your child hasn’t responded yet. But President Eyring gives us hope:
“In their moments of crisis, they remembered the words of their parents. Remembering saved them.”
Keep loving. Keep teaching. Keep praying.
