“God and Christ can not save you against your will. I’ve heard people say to me, ‘you depend on ordinances for your salvation.’  An ordinance is nothing more than a symbolic representation of a spiritual reality. Can somebody be baptized or take the sacrament and it’s meaningless? YES.”

“It’s the way that you say, ‘I will be loyal to you.'”

“Loyalty. Not perfection. Okay, now you’ve taken the sacrament. No mistakes this week, dude. No! God understands the life we’re living, the world we live in. But when we say, ‘I’ll be loyal and I know that He will be there even when I fall.'”

“Are we earning grace with ordinances? No. That is how we tell God we are ready. We want this.”

“A covenant is not a cold contract. A covenant is a warm relationship.” – Brother Wilcox
