How One Choice Can Shape a Lifetime of Happiness
Whether it’s a poor choice we made—or one made against us—what we do next often defines our future. In his April 2007 talk “The Tongue of Angels,” Elder Jeffrey R. Holland reminds us to choose hope and positivity, even in hard times.
“We should honor the Savior’s declaration to be of good cheer… Speak hopefully, speak encouragingly, including about yourself.”
Life is difficult, but constant negativity only makes it worse. Elder Holland’s advice is simple yet powerful: stop the murmuring, choose cheerfulness, and don’t let one mistake define your path. After all, “No misfortune is so bad that whining about it won’t make it worse.”
