In most situations, and definitely at higher organizational levels, people are called to their positions by The Lord through revelation. Men of God who are well trained in descerning the spiritual promptings of the Holy Ghost would never call anyone with evil intent to a position of authority within the church. I think you're thinking carnally and not appreciating the spiritual guidance the priesthood offers. This is the Lord's church and not an church run by man.

Oh, I know. The answer is not in the thunder, but in the still small voice. I have learned over time to understand the spirit and am constantly developing it. I guess sometimes I get hung up on certain things I just can't get my mind around. Maybe I'm just not ready. Here's one for you: Satan and his followers were banished from heaven and never got the opportunity to achieve mortality. Those who adhere to Satan in mortality will still be resurrected, and then judged. So,. . . after being judged in their resurrected bodies and cast out, do they lose their bodies a second time in order to be with Satan? See what I mean? Deep, huh. . .

OK, so I've never done anything like forums, myspace, etc but I figured I'd google LDS forums and see what's out there. Seems pretty nice! I've been a member for about 4 years and am sealed to my family. It's been a wirl-wind and I still miss the missionaries coming over weekly to answer my questions. Do people typically ask deep doctrinal questions here? My HT's are kind of new and not 100% and often times it's tough to ask questions in meetings in fear of getting the whole meeting off into a long tangent.
