No, quotes from the saviour wouldn't put me off but ones from prophets etc would. It's just that a lot of members seem to use them a lot.

Hi, I've been a member of the church for over 30 years & one thing I still don't understand is why so many members seem obsessed by quotes by prophets etc. I used to love the visiting teaching messages with a story in them but now they are just full of quotes. I never get anything from them. I'm afraid I switch off when people use quotes in talks & lessons. Do any others feel like this about quotes?
