yawn:) Snow you said: "safe assumption" You have made assumptions in this thread as well as in almost all your threads. "Safe assumption(s)"...not really, in my case as well as in the case of all the people you "intentionally" work so hard to shoot down (I am just making a "safe assumption") O Ye Hipocrite! Oh, I mispelled "Hipocrite." It should have been "hypocrite." Oops, sorry! Hang me! Snow I safely assume (Oh NO! not "safely assume" again) you love to put down, tear down, cause contention, try to make yourself look good over others, because you get off on that...is that a safe assumption? I think Goose's comment from Top Gun applies here in your case: "They were abused children." ha, ha, ha That's just my safe assumption. Ok nothing I have said just said about you, just now, is funny. It's mean! It's cruel! It's meant to tear down! It might hurt or upset you. It might make you mad and want to harm me. Snow This is your pattern with others. How sad. Why do you feel such need to do this to people? It would be easy for people to take 17 minutes, investigating you, without even leaving LDS.net...and they would see the cruel way you treat, demean, and tear down others. WOW! I am sad for you. I don't know why you do what you do to people? If anyone is in need of soul searching, as a member of the Church, you might want to start by looking in the mirror. Matt. 7: 3-5 3 aAnd why beholdest thou the bmote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the cbeam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou ahypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. -

Qoute from The Science of Getting Rich GOD's Way Preface: Much of what I have written in this book has its origins in scripture and also from a book written over 100 years ago by a man named Wallace Wattles. That book is titled The Science of Getting Rich. What I have done is take that material and given it more of a Christian twist and perspective. I believe Mr. Wattles was a Christian, but he wrote the book from a perspective that was more scientific. Snow To quote you I will say "Bull!" , but I am glad you are having fun coming up with your own incorrect conclusions ... like was said in the movie Dumb and Dumber, "Oh Samsonite, I was way off!" I'll tell you what. If you get an assumption 100% correct I will say "yes" to it, but unless you are 100% correct, like you expect everyone who posts anything anywhere on this forum to be, I will no longer comment to you. I am not going to play the "hot & cold game." Now you'll really have to hire a PI and make some phone calls because you will actually need to talk with Cashflow Club members, who attend the Cashflow Club...and the 40 plus people I have taught the workshop to in the months of November and January. Good luck to you. If your tone with them is like your tone with most posters you probably won't get very far because nobody will want to talk with you...but good luck to you. You have actually made this kind of fun because you have wasted a lot of time and have proved nothing. All you've done is come to your own personal conclusions and have wished to state those conclusions as facts. Thank you for the fun and entertainment ...before I was getting annoyed but now I am just getting a laugh...because it has gotten to the point of just plain silly :D Snow To quote you again: There is nothing more pathetic than the anti anti-mormon Colonel Louis/Lewis Tucker I guess now there is! Oh, that's funny!!! Smiles If you chance to meet a frown, Do not let it stay. Quickly turn it upside down And smile that frown away. No one likes a frowning face. Change it for a smile. Make the world a better place By smiling all the while. -

First of all, I am not selling a seminar to anyone on this post. I am giving the book away, and if you like the book, I am giving the seminar to you for free also...if you'd like it. Next, even if I was selling the seminar the a-train's "van example" is perfect. If you payed for a seminar, and your benefit was greater than the cost to attend, you will have received a greater use value than the cash value of the cost attend. I have a silly question? If all knowlegde should be shared for FREE, and there should be no compensation for the sharing of knowledge, why does the BYU charge students tuition to attend? Here is one possible answer. Because there is a cost involved in sharing that information AND because the teachers feel they should be payed to teach. The Church must agree with this or else they wouldn't pay the teachers, or they'd just shut BYU down. Many GAs and Apostles write books. There is a cost involved in get that book into the hands of willing readers. The interesting thing is that nobody complains when they see a book at Deseret Book and realize they have to pay for it if they want it. The great thing is that because the GA wrote the book, and someone wants to read it, a lot of people benefit. Let's look at who benefits: 1. The GA from the book sale, or the charity they may choose to give the proceeds to. 2. The publisher 3. Deseret Book...and the employees who work there and get paid a wage. 4. The reader of the book. Oh yeah...also the 5. graphic designer 6. paper company 7. ink company 8. editor 9, etc... This is a-train's "van example" in action! It starts with an idea. The end result is a benefit to many. Oh how terrible it is for the GA to share knowledge for a price, or is it? BTW...GAs and Apostles teach for FREE too. I am not a GA, but that's what I am doing...giving information away for FREE. I feel in this instance a need to give back to show my gratitude to God for what He has allowed me to learn. -

Connie The Jackrabbit Factor is a GREAT BOOK! Yes, by all means read it again. It will help. For everyone who really wants to know what my book is about but would like to read an excerpt first I am putting the preface here: Preface to The Science of Getting Rich GOD's Way - Are you honest in heart and do you need direction and help in your life? If this describes you then you are the type of person we are looking to help. This book was written with you in mind. It is meant to be a tool you can use to create the type of life that is really worth living. God wants all of His children to live happy, productive, prosperous lives. He wants us to develop our talents and abilities, serve others, and to experience true joy. This book was written because God has blessed my life and because I think credit should be given where credit is due! God has placed a lot of good books, people, teachings, and experiences in my path so that I could learn how to co-create with Him, an amazing life! Over time I have internalized and applied this information and it has born good fruit in my life. Much of what I have written in this book has its origins in scripture and also from a book written over 100 years ago by a man named Wallace Wattles. That book is titled The Science of Getting Rich. What I have done is take that material and given it more of a Christian twist and perspective. I believe Mr. Wattles was a Christian, but he wrote the book from a perspective that was more scientific. Over the last few years a lot has come out concerning The Law of Attraction. The work that has made the biggest splash is a book and movie both titled The Secret. The Secret also has its origins in the book The Science of Getting Rich. The Secret teaches the Law of Attraction in more of a metaphysical new age sort of way. I think that book and movie have a lot of value, accept it really doesn't explain very well that God, our Father in Heaven, is the true source of power behind how the universe operates. What I am sharing with you in The Science of Getting Rich GOD's Way is a clear version of how things really work. In fact I could have given my book the title How To Create The Life You Really Want Using God's Help and that would have been very appropriate. I believe it is time for people who believe in God to become more prosperous. I honestly think that God can do more good with a prosperous, happy, trusting, faithful person to further His causes here on earth, than He can with a person who is only concerned about their personal day to day struggles for survival. Besides, that Laws that Govern the acquisition of money and things are just as much God's Laws as the Law of Gravity is. When we break either Law we suffer the consequences. When we obey either Law life is a lot better! We are living in a time when there is a lot of uncertainty in the world we live in. The economy in the United States where I live, as well as in other countries, has deteriorated. This has happened because people have broken God's Laws that relate to living a financially prosperous life. Some have done it on purpose, but most have done it in ignorance. Unfortunately like disobeying the Law of Gravity, the consequences have been disastrous! Here is the good news: You can co-create with God a very happy, peaceful, financially prosperous life, in this economy as well as in any other economy! When you learn HOW to obey God's Laws that create financial abundance, you will likely do so. You just need an explanation of what these Laws are and how you are supposed to follow them, and I believe the chances are great that as you practice doing so, you will see the results you are seeking. Most people just aren't aware of what the Laws are and how they are supposed to be followed. I have more good news: Once you start to obey these Laws as God would have you obey them, positive changes tend to come VERY RAPIDLY! It is my hope that you will read this book and become part of a growing community of people who are devoted to God, who are creating great financial abundance, so they can better serve their families as well as “their neighbors.” As you do this you will please God and become a greater instrument for good. This will happen because you will have more resources to work with. Keep your heart and mind single to His glory, and let Him be your guide. Most of all, trust that He will lead you in obtaining your righteous desires “GOD's Way.” Sincerely, Kevin Sparks – Author of The Science of Getting Rich GOD's Way Once a person has read the whole book, and put the Laws into practice, you'll see that what I share works...and you'll find that it is Gospel based. The reason I took Wallace Wattles work and gave it a God-based perspective is because the original book had some Gospel errors. I just corrected some things and filled in some of the blanks so that it was in line with Gospel truth. Those changes make understanding and working with God's Laws easier for members of the Church as well as for any Christian. Wallace Wattles was very close, without my changes, to the truth. He shared it the best he could with the knowledge he had. His is one of the "best books" referred to in the Doctrine & Covenenants. -

Connie Thank you. The reason why some of what Snow has said can't be confirmed is because he has decided to come to his own conclusions instead of get all the facts...but that's ok. I would be happy to answer any and all of your questions. I can do it in this post or you can just send me a personal message...or I'd even be happy to speak with you. You can send me a personal message and I'll give you my phone number if you like. BTW...how do you know Leslie Householder? If you know her personally give her a call. I am sure she'd likely verify who I am and what I do. Snow is way off on these things...especially my motives:-) I do not have a Rich Dad Cashflow Club franchise and I have never sold the game to anyone. I am however the founder of the largest Cashflow Club in the country. We have just about 4,000 members in the PHX Metro area and membership is FREE. How's that for a profitable business? Pretty funny, huh? The Cashflow Club is how I have been giving back to our community for almost 6 years now. Since I don't sell the game, and most people reading this post live nowhere near me, plus I am giving the book away for FREE as a pdf ebook, there isn't any compensation coming to me for doing this. I just want to help people realize that they can prosper and live the Gospel too. Connie, thank you for your kind tone. I am cool with healthy skepticism. You are just being smart and careful. That is why I am so willing to answer your questions, as well as the questions of others who genuinely want to know if what I share in the book is truth or not. I have a simple answer for you and everyone. 3 Nephi 14:20 "Wherefore, by their fruits ye shall know them." Test out what I have shared in the book. If you don't, I guess you'll never really know? Reading the words isn't a test though. Working with the Laws is. Try it and see if you like the fruit. Do it with something small and simple. Work with a small righteous desire that you have and follow the process. I wish you the best with this! -

friend (frnd) n. 1. A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts. 2. A person whom one knows; an acquaintance. 3. A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade. 4. One who supports, sympathizes with, or patronizes a group, cause, or movement. --- I agree with solomon-helaman, who is not myself but someone who asked to read the book....like several of you, and he must have read it. --- I will respond to the rest of you, but it's best that I ignore Snow. I decided to check out posts by Snow in other discussions to see if I am unique or if he takes the same tone with others. I found that I am not unique. Snow attacks a lot! That's too bad. I can tell Snow is very intelligent, but very rough with others. All anyone has to do is read a dozen or so of Snow's posts to see this. Oh well, we live in a "freedom of speech" internet world on LDS.net so we have to take the negative comments along with the positive ones, as well as the personal attacks. I now choose to ignore Snow but I am happy to respond to anyone else. Snow has his freedom of speech and so do I. He is welcome to ignore me too. -

Connie I do. All I am sharing is how to be, do, and have everything we need to be, do, and have to reach or greatest potential. When we are the best we can be, and we help others become the best they can be, we are doing the best we can right now. I feel that we are our brothers keepers. That's WHY I wrote the book. I am sharing something that helps others AND DOESN'T conflict with the Gospel. Acquiring wealth just to stock pile it isn't a very good use of money. It is to bless lives, and it's ok if yours is one of those lives that is blessed. Let's think about consecration. When everyone does their very best there is always more than enough for all. It's only when people get competitive (selfish) or lazy that this system doesn't work. Being competitive and lazy IS NOT GOD's WAY. When everyone gives their all, you have a city like Enoch. Our talents and abilities get combined with the talents and abilities of everyone when we live the Law of Consecration. Some day we'll try living that Law again and God's people will do it successfully. Here is what I said in the Preface and I mean it: "In fact I could have given my book the title How To Create The Life You Really Want Using God's Help and that would have been very appropriate." This is what the book is about. This post is "Does God want members of His Church to prosper financially?", but the book teaches "how to create the life you really want using God's help" as well. Most of the same Laws I share in the book apply to health, relationships, etc...as well as to acquiring money. It's the process of creation, and chances are we know this at a spiritual level. Why? Because chances are pretty good that we helped Jehovah and Michael in the work of organizing and creating the world we live in. We just don't remember it all. I honestly don't think creating the earth was a struggle. I think it all came very naturally because we had Jehovah guiding the way and teaching the process of organization and creation. The Laws of creation didn't change when we came to earth, and when the veil gets lifted we'll realize that. How we use our free agency will determine, for the most part, the kind of life we live. We create a lot more in our life than we realize. We create our life and others create theirs, and some choose to do good and some choose to do evil. Hence why often bad things happen to good people...plus some of it is just a part of our mortal experience. We "taste the bitter so we can know the sweet." When we realize how much influence we really have over our personal lives, and we understand God's Laws of Creation, hopefully we'll use that knowledge to do His will...and develop ourselves and serve others. I am just trying to bring an awareness of these Laws to others. I lived 37 years before I was truly aware of them. I am 40 now and my life as very different...in a very good way! -

Snow, earlier you said: "Bull. What are we? Idiots? Explain the law that made Saddam Hussein and Bernie Madoff filthy rich and made Joseph Smith and my grandparents dirt poor". Throughout this post you have mostly posted comments like that that really don't help anyone. That is about as thoughtful as the person who says there must not be a God because people are starving, killed, tortured, or deal with other negative circumstances in their lives. Calling people stupid, myself or anyone else, who agree with what's written in the book is just plain ignorant. If, in your mind, we are off track lovingly convince us...but please don't insult us. You'll catch more bees with honey than vinegar :-) Thank you. I hope you consider your tone as you comment. There is no need to get nasty. We are all...you included...doing the best we can to help others:-) -

Snow Easy does it with the insults :-) Quote from Chapter 11: "Thought is the creative power, or the impelling force, which causes the original formless substance to act. Thinking in a certain way will bring riches to you, but you must not rely on thought alone, paying no attention to personal action. We have not yet reached the stage of development in which we can create directly from the formless substance, without nature's processes or the work of human hands. People must not only think, but by personal action must supplement that thought. By thought you can cause the gold in the center of the mountains to be driven toward you, but it will not mine itself, refine itself, coin itself into double eagles, and come rolling along the roads seeking its way into your pocket". -

Snow Of course you conveniently skipped the part of the book on the need to take action. You can take things out of context if you like, but that's just not right. I don't tell anyone there is no work involved in making the Laws work. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION...and I say so. I also state very clearly that the book is based on my take on what Wallace Wattles says...giving more emphasis to what has been skipped over concerning God's part in the whole process. It is a public domain work that has been updated and clarified for Christian readers. Let people read the book in full and let them develop their own opinions. Why the positive feedback from readers? Because they know that there is truth in the book...and unlike what you are telling people...I have a whole chapter on the effort necessary to make the whole process work. You are right about one thing though. The book is only about 60 pages in 12 pt font. Why? Because it doesn't take 100---200---or even 300+ pages to explain how the process works. Isn't it great to know that God's Laws are simple enough for anyone to understand them? God's Laws aren't only for the scholar. BTW...I have taught the workshop for more than $500, but I have chosen to give the book away to get the book in the hands of more people. My goal isn't to make money selling the book. My goal is to have others read it. The information has changed my life! I used to be a retail manager working 60-80+ hours a week. Because of God's blessings and obeying the Laws I haven't needed to work for anyone in almost 3 years (It will be 3 years the last week of April 2009) and I only put on average 4-8 hours per week into money making activites. I give the glory to God for that! I have seen several other people put the information in the book to good use and their lifes have benefitted from it...sometimes even more than my own. How cool is that?! That is why I have done what I have done. -

Does God want members of His Church to prosper financially?
sgrGODSway replied to sgrGODSway's topic in General Discussion
Connie I was gone for a couple of days but I want to get back to you and answer your question. There are two ways to prosper financially, God's way and Satan's way. Satan's way is very competitive in nature. God's way is very creative in nature. Satan would have you try to get more by taking from someone else. He would have people think that the supply is limited. Let me use a pizza example. Satan's way is to put 12 starving people in a room with one small, unsliced, pizza and give the knife to the first person and say slice off the amount you WANT and then give the knife to the next person. He says once you have your slice there is no reason to stay in the room and watch what happens to the others because you have your slice. As you can see this creates a delima for those 12 people, and chances are great that most will go hungry. God's way is to give people the ingredients to make as much pizza as everyone would like to have. Sometimes He asks someone to be a pizza-maker and asks them to make the pizza and share it with others so ALL can have an abundance. Sometimes He asks the pizza-maker to teach another how to make pizza so more people can be served. Sometimes He asks others to produce the ingredients to make the pizza's. The real key to becoming rich God's way is to understand that there is abundance for ALL who desire abundance and there is no need to step on someone else to have all you can righteously use to help yourself and others. The Laws taught in my book teach how to co-create with God, an abundant life that benefits you and everyone around you. In reading the responses in this post I see that there is a lot of people that feel that you can't have an abundant life AND serve God. That's just not true. Practically everyone in developed countries have things in their lives that would be considered luxuries by the standards of third world countries. How many members of the Church, in the United States of America (there are about 6 million of us) are ready to give up your microwave, oven, refrigerator, car, TV, DVD player, hair-dryer, dishwasher, washer & dryer, etc...? These are luxuries! You CAN survive without them...but do you really want to...or even need to, to make God happy? BTW...my mission presidents (I had two of them) drove a Cadillac and a Porsche before they were called to serve. One of them, who is now a President in the Quorum of the 70, had a very successful advertising agency. The other was a very successful doctor. Was it wrong for them to not drive a Chevy Malibu and a Volkswagen Beetle? Honestly, I don't think God really cared. These two men became rich God's way, and like Abraham and Job, they were blessed with great wealth. Money, or lack thereof, and righteousness are not mutually exclusive. In my book I say...over and over and over...I say to counsel with God in all that you do, and get confirmation from Him that He is OK with whatever you are desiring to be, do, or have BEFORE trying to use the Laws of creation. But once you get the peaceful assurance that you are on the right track you need to trust that He is there to help and support you. He wants you to have your righteous desires. He is there to help us in ALL aspects of our lives...even the righteous desires we have for money. If anyone has ever went on a water-skiing trip or ATV trip; or girls camp or scout camp; or went to Disneyland; or ate at a fancy restaurant; or had a wedding reception at a resort; or attended a professional sporting event; or went to the opera...are you going to tell me these were unrighteous desires and activities? Not likely, especially if YOU were the person who did it. Why didn't you just take the money and put it ALL in fast offerings or send it to some charity in need? I'll tell you why. Because that's not what God wants. He has asked you to counsel with Him in all that you do and He asks you to do His will. People keep bringing up the Savior and Joseph Smith. God had certain missions for them to accomplish and He provided for their work to be accomplished through the help of others. Some of these others were very financially well off so they didn't need to be. A prophet's time is usually best spent when they are not needing to work for money. My former mission president, who is now a member of the 70, has a different mission today than the one He had when he was 20 or even 40 years old. How many modern-day Apostles were successful financially before being called (many)? Lots of money, or little money had nothing to do with their calls to serve. It was their hearts being ready, and God's will that they be called, that made the difference. There were rich prophets and poor prophets. Money had nothing to do with their being called. I have seen a trend though. The rich ones supported themselves financially (obviously this was a blessing for them from God) and the poor ones received the support of others. Some of those others were/are rich. Do not fear money. It's only a tool. Just learn how to use the tool correctly. Only God can tell YOU which of your desires are righteous. Use the “tool of money” for your righteous desires and you'll live happily and abundantly. Question to ponder... When Job finished going through his trials why did the God double his previous wealth? Before his trials Job was already a very rich man. Why then did God double all his wealth? Could it be because he proved to be a good steward and God knew he would be able to do even more good with more wealth? Money tends to magnify who we are. Good people will do good. If you are afraid of money ask yourself "why?" Money isn't the issue. If a person feels it will corrupt them there are deeper issues. If a person is afraid of success or failure those are different issues. One way or another God is going to present us many opportunities in life for us to make changes. We will eventually have to face our issues...and we all have them. Also please remember that just being good isn't enough to receive financial abundance. You must become rich God's way and obey the Laws...but it isn't as difficult as it may appear to become rich. It doesn't take anymore time to become rich God's way than it does to have a part-time job. You need not devote all your time and energy to becoming rich. When you become rich God's way you are doing it the easiest way possible. When we obey God's Laws regarding the acquisition of money and things there is much less resistance to obtaining our righteous desires. If you don't know how to do this the first thing to do is learn "how." -

Offensive notion or not, it's true! God works by Law. There are Laws that govern financial abundance. Obey the Laws and get the results. It IS that simple...but you must obey the Laws. -

The Perpetual Education fund is lent with interest. It's small but it is interest. Members prospering financially is about having the resources necessary to accompish righteous desires. Some (but not all) of these take money to accomplish. That's the main point, but some people refuse to believe that financial abundance can be a major blessing in helping God accomplish His will for us and others too. How many people give up on developing their talents because of lack of money. Example, having a piano if your are inclined towards becoming a piano player...or being able to take piano lessons. I am sure that someone is going to think "Well my aunt has a piano, I'll just send my child there to practice and play, and I bet I can talk her into teaching my child too", but that won't happen for everyone that wants to become a piano player. So what happens? Often the righteous desires we have gut buried or we let them die or we just say "I guess I am just not meant to play the piano." How much pain has a child or parent suffered because of having to poor water on a righteous burning desire? If this person knew how to create the money for a piano and piano lessons, and they could do it righteously, I think they would do it. A piano is a luxury to most people, but to some it is a necessary tool to developing a talent. So is it right or wrong to want the money for a piano and lessons? Once again, how many righteous dreams and desires "die on the vine" because of lack of financial properity? A lot of people are more concerned about the rich being banned from Heaven than they are about the good that financial abundance can bring and the talents that can be magnified and multiplied. When I served a mission I had two mission presidents. They both had financial abundance. It allowed them to leave their work and serve the Lord more easily. Today President Andersen is now Elder Andersen who is one of the Presidents of the Seventy. It seems that money didn't destroy these two men. It wasn't requirement for them to be rich to be mission presidents or a member of the Seventy, but it has helped them serve more effectively. -

The point is being missed a little here. It's not about money. It's about working with God to accomplish His will. It's about co-creating our life with God. It is about not ignoring the fact that we determine much of what happens in our lives by what we believe deep inside. Not what we want to believe, but what has been passed into our subconscious mind. We have been warned over an over that the sins of the parents have consequences that pass on through generations. Is this because God curses the sinner or because our subconscious programing determines our action and results? Things pass on until a change in thinking replaces old programing. The Gospel is about changing old programing to something that eventually leads to God-like thinking. There is a great quote attributed to Albert Einstein: "I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are details". How much of our lives are determined by our thinking and how much is left to chance, fate, and luck? Does anybody have annoying habits that carried over from a parent or grandparent? I know I have some. Why do I do those things? Because at a subconscious level they are automatic. Can they be changed? Yes, if I want them to change. Is it easy? "Kind of" and "no". It's easier to make those subconscious changes when one knows how...but there is still effort and faith involved. If you don't know how God created our conscious and subconscious mind to work it is very, very hard to make the change. I believe God shares a portion of His creative power with us. I believe that we are practicing creation the same way we are practing being eternal parents. We get to do things on a limited basis here on earth first. This is a preparatory state we are living in. God lives abundantly. He has no lack. He knows no want. He always has what He needs when He needs it. That is prosperity. People throughout the world define what a lot of money and material possessions are differently, based on what their paradigms are. A person is truly rich when they can be, do, and have all the things they righteously want to be, do, and have...undertanding that God is there to help them co-create their life according to those righteous desires. If a person has a specific righteous desire, and they get confirmation from God that it's ok with Him to have that desire, I believe we are well within our faith to ask God for His help and to expect that He will help us...even if it takes co-creating money to do it. When the Church wants to build a Temple, God provides the way (in our day and age) through tithing. Why would God provide a way for the Church to achieve its righteous goals, but abandon the individual member? He doesn't! He always provides a way (see 1 Nephi 3:7). God has asked every father on earth to provide for his wife and children. Has every Temple recommend holding member of the Church keep this commandment perfectly? No. Does any member of the Church keep all the commandments perfectly. No. Does God say He will provide a way for us to accomplish the things He commands of us. Yes. Everything He commands? Yes. Can we do it all in this life? No. Is it because God asks too much? No. It's because we have to repent and let God change us. That takes time. That takes unlearning a lot of things that are subconsciously automatic for us. Yes, sometimes we purposely sin...but often we disobey because of what has made it into our minds as a result of parents, family members, friends, media, etc...The good news is that God is patient and shows mercy. The good news is that Jesus Christ paid the price so we can overcome ourselves and come back into His presence as well as the presence of The Father. -
Does God want members of His Church to prosper financially?

I propose that there is no lack. God used matter unorganized to create and organize the world, but He didn't use it all up when making this beautiful world we live in. When we do things God's way we are co-creators with Him. When we do things in opposition to His way (opposition to Law) we harm others. One way creates more good for all, and the other way is to try to take from another to have more for oneself. The good news is that the adversary and man cannot take it all. That isn't possible. Does God see lack or abundance? What do we see? I think if we can see things as He sees them and understand things as He understands them, we can become co-creators with Him. He is way more advanced than we are, but His goal is to help us become like He is. It may take millions and millions of years to become like He is, after this life, but eventually we can get there...because He says we can. Man couldn't fly until he understood the Laws of aerodynamics. He used those Laws to overcome gravity. I believe God has also provided Laws to overcome lack and poverty, they just aren't well understood. If we obey these Laws we prosper. If we disobey these Laws whether in ignorance or on purpose we deal with the consequences. There is God's lasting way to abundance, and there is the fleeting counterfeit way of the adversary. Some people obey God's Laws on purpose, and some by accident...but obedience still brings blessings. Laws are never-changing. They always work. If a young innocent child walks off a cliff, they will still fall. Their lack of knowledge regarding the Law of gravity doesn't keep them from falling. Innocent people get hurt all the time because they ignorantly break Laws. I think a lot of members of the Church break the Laws that God has established for co-creating their lives. It mostly happens out of ignorance. Most people don't know how what they are thinking and doing determines their outcomes. They have no idea that they can easily change all of this rather quickly once they know what to do, how to do it, and why they should. -

You are correct...you have no idea what the book is about. It has been read by members and non-member Christians alike and the response to date has been positive. You are welcome to read it for FREE if you like and I'd love to hear your opinion. Here is why President Hinkley said the PEF was created: "Now, my brethren, we face another problem in the Church. We have many missionaries, both young men and young women, who are called locally and who serve with honor in Mexico, Central America, South America, the Philippines, and other places. They have very little money, but they make a contribution with what they have. They are largely supported from the General Missionary Fund to which many of you contribute, and for these contributions we are very deeply grateful. They become excellent missionaries working side by side with elders and sisters sent from the United States and Canada. While in this service they come to know how the Church operates. They develop a broadened understanding of the gospel. They learn to speak some English. They work with faith and devotion. Then comes the day of their release. They return to their homes. Their hopes are high. But many of them have great difficulty finding employment because they have no skills. They sink right back into the pit of poverty from which they came. Because of limited abilities, they are not likely to become leaders in the Church. They are more likely to find themselves in need of welfare help. They will marry and rear families who will continue in the same cycle that they have known. Their future is bleak indeed. There are some others who have not gone on missions who find themselves in similar circumstances in development of skills to lift them from the ranks of the poor. In an effort to remedy this situation, we propose a plan—a plan which we believe is inspired by the Lord. The Church is establishing a fund largely from the contributions of faithful Latter-day Saints who have and will contribute for this purpose. We are deeply grateful to them. Based on similar principles to those underlying the Perpetual Emigration Fund, we shall call it the Perpetual Education Fund. From the earnings of this fund, loans will be made to ambitious young men and women, for the most part returned missionaries, so that they may borrow money to attend school. Then when they qualify for employment, it is anticipated that they will return that which they have borrowed together with a small amount of interest designed as an incentive to repay the loan". Heavenly Father cares. He wants us to develop our talents and abilities, and to serve Him. This is difficult if day to day needs aren't met. My book isn't about becoming a millionaire, multi-millionaire, or even billionaire. It is about how we can live the kind of life that lets us become all we can become...and money is just a piece of the equation. How much money a person needs to accomplish this is going to be different for each individual. The book is about how we are co-creators with God. It shows how to use God's Laws to our benefit and not to our destruction. It shows how we are responsible for our own "outcomes" because we are "the cause." It shows how to make changes on all levels...spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical, etc...if we feel their are changes we would like to make. Money is a tool...nothing more, nothing less. It is a simple means of exchange. Their are Laws that govern its acquisition and its successful growth. If you have all the money that you need to be, do, and have all that God wants you to be, do, and have then you are blessed and you should share how you have been able to do it with others. If you have an unfulfilled righteous desire(s), and it will likely take more money to accomplish it then what I share can help. President Hinkley recognized a need for a large number of our members to change their financial status and God lead him to the next step...much like Joseph Smith would be lead to the next step because "he inquired of the Lord". Everything I share in the book jives with what the Bretheren have talked about. Nothing opposes their teachings. If all we ever needed was taught in Scripture and General Conference then many of the General Authorities would be wasting time writing books. I am not a GA. I am a person sharing what I have learned, that's all, and it has helped many others to progress in whatever areas of life they saw need of help. -

a-train Thank you! There is the perpetual education fund too. It seems that poverty isn't God's plan or why would He care if someone lives in poverty if just being righteous was good enough for Him. Question for everyone? Why do some people fear money and success? I believe that this fear will have to be dealt with and overcome, in this life or the next. Heavenly Father is the most successful person there is. All we have is His. He took all He put on this earth and gave it to Adam and Eve to have dominion over (please don't think of dominion in a negative way...God wouldn't give "dominion" to Adam and Eve if that were an evil term). I think that fear drives too many decisions when it comes to money. Money is just a simple means of exchange. It is a tool. It can be used for good or evil. Good people will do good with it and wicked people will do evil. -
The Science of Getting Rich GOD's Way

The book covers how to know what God's will is and how to know just "how much" is enough for each person individually. Check it out. We are all individuals and God knows us best. However no cop-outs please. Most people give up before knowing the Laws and I am not talking strictly about money. People give up on lots of things. If an toddler tried and failed when learning to walk, and just decided "walking must just be for other people, but not for me", most people wouldn't be walking today. If God reveals to you that something isn't meant for you by all means listen! He probably has another specific plan for you, but don't say "no" because of fear of failure or because you fear success.
