I would like to recieve some feedback from an unbiased souce. I am nearly 20 years old and I'm struggling with the decision to serve a mission. I moved out at 18 and got involved with drinking and a few other things. I also only recently overcame a 4 year addiction to pornography. I am back with my parents at this point and I feel that I should join the Army as it's something I've always longed to do. I don't feel that I've properly prepared myself to serve a mission worthily. My parents are trying to everything to get me to serve a mission but I just don't feel I can do it anymore. Any advice, scriptures, conference adresses, etc. you can give would be very appreciated.
