  1. Hello, My name is Richard. I am 73 and joined the Church at age 23. I am married to Karen, 50 years. I attended Cal-Tech and USC majoring in philosophy and math. I value the Spirit, reason & science. One of my favorite sayings is: "Without the LDS gospel, life will probably suck." Thanks for letting me join.
  2. The "light of" and "spirit of" Christ seem to be used interchangeably, but in either case how does one differentiate between the "light of" & the Holy Ghost? Logically it doesn't follow from "Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are One God" that "when you feel the Spirit and/or hear the "still small voice" that is from Heavenly Father." There is one God Head with 3 Gods in it. So back to my original question. How does one know which member of the God Head is "speaking" to you.
  3. My question is not to whom one prays but who is trying to communicate with us. Specifically 1. If the spirit of Christ is with everyone how do I know if the answer is the Spirit of Christ or the Holy Ghost? 2. How can I tell if the message is from Heavenly Father or the Holy Ghost? Thanks for you opinion.
  4. It may not matter to people who just want to live a normal life but to an intellectual who enjoys the life of the mind it does matter. Its sort of like a person who wants to drive his car. He doesn't care about how the car works but an engineer wants to know how the car works.
  5. The spirit of Christ is with everyone. The Holy Ghost can communicate with anyone. I am assuming that God the father can communicate with anyone. How does one know which member of the Godhead is communicating with one?
