My name is Edi, I am from SoCal. I suffered from brutal and severe bullying in school due to some and general differences of how we were reared, which likely was the root cause of all the hate and instability. I have lived all my life in white collar suburbia. I am a minority myself. I ended up getting home-schooled for a handful of years and attended college and grad school online. Health issues did play a large role, and of course, the bullying. I have always studied full time and not worked due to the culmination of emotional physical impediments. I likewise, being religious, have never dated, never even held hands or embraced. This is quite bizarre that friendships and relationships were the cause of all the unrest and ultimate bullying our school had. I am deeply religious and life long Christian, non-LDS. The deep scars remain in my mind and hence I suffer from anxiety-like feelings due to the brutal social ordeals I went through. I do not use social networking, so chatting with the Missionary RC was amazing. I cannot thank the Elder (PM if you're curious to who the Elder was) enough for his friendship as I have gotten to know him virtually in the last few days in the chat room. I want to forgive and forget the past and just immerse myself in the Scriptures. I have really enjoyed reading the Scriptures and passages in the last few days. I look forward to being immersed in the Scriptures and finding healing of the past. There is something I must share, that from the first time in read the Scriptures, I really believed, I mean maybe 90% don’t believe, but I really felt that moment. I have gone back to basics of daily readings from all sections, just like I did 7 years ago. I really feel better, I feel I am overcoming my obstacles and becoming a better person.
