Hello everyone! Before anything, I'd like to say thanks for reading my post. Just looking for some support:
A couple of months ago, I had asked a woman that I had gotten to know and love a girl from the single's ward to marry me that I knew before my mission. I had come back and we had hit it off. We had plans to be married in March and I never felt more happy for the future.
2 days ago, her and I went on a walk to talk and she voiced that she had been fasting and praying and knew that she needed to serve a mission. She talked about how in her patriarchal bless it says through her service, she would bring many to the fold. I felt the Spirit and knew that it was true. I said I would be supportive of her as she chooses to do so as I have seen the blesses of missionary work. Though hard and vigorous it is, it is well worth it.
Currently, the wedding has been called off and she has turned her sites towards serving though she says she truly does love and care about me and I know she does.
The question is:
How can I be supportive of her as she prepares?
She's 18; about to be 19 later this year. I'm still heartbroken and have gone into depression. I want to be there for her 100%...
