  1. So this has been in the back of my mind for a while now and im asking for some input I was talking to my friend (non lds) about my sunday and how i taught a lesson on the creation to my single adult class. and i mentioned that Jesus Christ created the earth. She asked for some scriptures and I listed them to her. We started talking about the relationship between Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and them to us. If Jesus Christ was the god of the old testiment then when ppl prayed were they praying to him or was prayer not understood at that time? I know we pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ but why do we pray in the name of Christ? Is it because we are unworthy to speak to Heavenly Father directly? If Christ is a god why cant we pray to him? I understand that Christ is our advocate and in many ways we he connects us to Heavenly Father. But what is the significance to having both as far as salvation goes? Do we have two gods (if not three with the Holy Ghost)? Im pretty confused and i tried to explain what im thinking as clearly as possible but if you dont understand go ahead and ask me.
