  1. The sacrament is used to remind members of the covenant you make in baptism and the repeated process of repentance there after. If you aren't baptized I think you have to wait because you haven't made the covenant. That's how it was before I was a member. Ask your bishop. :D

  2. I had an idea.

We should start a chain poem. For example say I write the first 3 lines, someone writes 3 more etc. Then when we think it's finished we can put it together and see how it turned out. Who's with me?

    Ok here we go! :D

    It's my time to shine

    No more holding back

    His will not mine

  3. Ha Ha  Ok!

My poem speaks about how sad it makes me that my family doesn't see the truth of this church. My Mom and I are the only members, and one day I felt really bummed out thinking about what it would be like if they only knew. I want to be a writer so I hope this is ok quality. By the way I haven't revised it yet, so the rythm might be kind of weird.

Here it is. It's called "If They Only Knew"

    I want to go back

Go back where I come from

    Where we all come from

I want to rejoice, I want to laugh

I want to fly, fly away from all the pain

And all the sorrow that this world rains

    I wish they knew

    I wish they all knew

That there is a better way, a better place

    I wish they would listen

Hear my words, see my face

I wish they would open up their minds

    Their minds to the truth

I wish they knew how much it breaks my heart

Don't they know their tearing it apart

If they only knew, we could all be happy

    If they only knew

I pray he will take me

    Take me and my family

Back Home where we are meant to be

    Someday, somehow

    They just might see

What it takes to make him happy

Help me Lord, help us all

    To live this life righteously

So we may one day return back to thee

I FIXED IT! READ IT AGAIN :D

  4. Cherie Call/Restless Soul/Charly soundtrack- I think it's time to look inside myself, in truth I think I'm scared of what I'll see, Staring at the mirror with this heartless gaze, I can read between the lines, that go along the forehead of this anxious face, that isn't even mine.

Kathrine Nelson/Follow Jesus There/Not Your Mother's LDS Music!- O Lord my God you are the one who saves me, always faithful in your love, though I'm a foolish child you want to save me, you have given me your son, when the world has twist and turns, when the heart is in despair, there's a hope beyond the hurt if I follow Jesus there, when I'm standing in the rain I will come to him in prayer, there's a peace beyond the pain if I follow Jesus there.

Jericho Road/You Melt the Madness/(same as above)- It seems this crazy world is never going to change, so Lord I want you to change me, and in the chaos I'll be calling out your name, won't you set me free with your serenity, you melt the madness, you calm the fear inside of me, when the world is spinning out of control, you stop the struggle Lord it's your love that brings sweet rest unto my soul and my heart knows come what may no matter what I face I will still know that you are God.

  5. I know exactly how you feel gimpandproudofit. Life in general is confusing.

Prayer helps alot. Sometimes I try not to pray the same way or say the same things. I try to think of it like I am just having a conversation.

I just recieved my reccommend for my patriarchial blessing and before the interview I was really bummed out. I had just gotten $30 stolen from my wallet and my Dad was bugging me about spending too much time doing church stuff instead of spending time with him. (He's not a member) Just speaking to my bishop helped me feel better.

  6. I think that it is fine to listen to Christian music. It's much better than choosing to listen to all of the other stuff. It's uplifting, and it makes me happy. Even though some of it is not completely correct in the words they say.

I like Relient K to. I have there cd and I got to see them in concert a couple years ago.

  7. I get what you guys mean. When you live in a place where everyone you know is mormon and it has always been that way, you know like everyone was raised in the church, than nobody has the oppurtunity to gain their own testimony.

The gospel just doesn't feel like it should, or everyone doesn't know how blessed they are.

Everyone rebels, and acts like they know all the rules and standards of the church and they judge you.

I heard from a friend that they were miserable at BYU, Provo. She couldn't even be herself because everyone was judging her.

That's why if I do go to BYU, I'm going to Ricks, Idaho campus.

I'm not downing BYU whatsoever. I've just heard things about how some of the people are.

  8. I feel you PinkBlankie, I live in Cedar Park, Texas in Austin and at my school there are probably 3 mormons counting myself.

It is a brand new school. There are only grades 9&10 at the school now. Hopefully as it grows some more LDS people will come around.

There are zero mormons in my graduating class, not including me, I know that.

I wish there were more. :(

In my seminary class there is 17 people from grades 9-12.
