I am a recently returned missionary with a simple question that I am curious about. I am currently dating someone who is not a member, but who has a date for baptism for a few months from now. We have been talking about a more serious relationship, and this may end up in marriage. She loves the church, and wants to be baptized for her own reasons (she investigated the church before she started dating me). Do we have a civil marriage on our own time, or do we wait the 14 months from now and get married within the temple? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks ns
