iamalighthouse Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 I just found out what i'm doing for my 16th birhtday. I'll be tearing down walls to a bathroom we're remodeling. Every one else i know has had this huge special thing for their 16th birthday. Did anybody else have a sucky 16th?
toto Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Hey, iamalighthouse what exactly is this remodling thing for? is it a service project or is it your home? When I turned 16 we went bowling. At first I hated the idea because you are supposed to have like this huge party when you are 16, not go bowling! But when I got to the bowling alley, it turned out great. What I'm saying is make it fun. Maybe you can have a sleepover with a whole bunch of friends after the remodling is over. You never know, your parents might have planned a surprise. Turning 16 is just like any other year really, your just getting a little older. Try not to expect more, it can still be a special thing. You just have to try a little harder. Hope that helped.
speedomansam Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 don't worry about it. it only stinks if you say it stinks. sometimes it's hard to have a good attitude but i find if you pray for it all things are much better. i can't even remeber what i did for my birthday so it must not have been that important.

It's just one day of the year. For mine, all we really did was have a little bit of my family over, opened a few gifts then everyone left, just like any other birthday. I remain quite content. Lol although I guess I'm the wrong person to be answering to this topic because I hate my birthday, I don't like attention, and would rather that people forgot about it.
deepthinker Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 i hung out with my family on my 16th birthday. people talk about doing huge things for their birthday, but i jsu dont' thikn it's all that necessary. as long as you love the people you are around, doing anything can be fun!!
