crazyknitter42 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Hi! I am new to this forum, and I was wondering if any of you can help me. I have the digital reader nook (it is all still kind of new to me), and I have been trying to download the pdf of General Conference. I downloaded the pdf of the Ensign to my nook. Normally, when you 'click' on the 'go to' button and then the 'chapter' button it is suppose to take you to the talk indicated in the 'chapter', or in this case - the talk. But it is not working. Has anyone else had this problem? If you have not - would you share with me where you got your pdf at? Quote
miztrniceguy Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Probably not formatted correctly. Maybe I'll ask my wife to look at it. Quote
miztrniceguy Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Per my wife, who as a profession, formats E-books for authors for them to sell in different formats, you need to have the file as an "epub" file which is the format for the nook. It is not designed to read pdf, tho it will. I do not know if you can get GC in epub format or not. Quote
crazyknitter42 Posted November 3, 2010 Author Report Posted November 3, 2010 I am aware that the nook needs epub. I have a program that converts programs like pdf to epub. So - I have the Ensign on my nook - but the "go to" & "chapter" buttons are not in working order - or in other words, the formatting is not set right for these to work correctly. Quote
miztrniceguy Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Sounds like a bad formatting job. Do you use Calibre? Quote
