Serg Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 You know, our dominical class teacher once gave us an example concerning storage of food, and said to a brother "Felix, if you did what you had to, but Christian(me) didnt in a time of crisis, would you share? He said, yes!, I smiled, and the teacher said "no" "let him starve" because of his unwillingness to be obidient" , "the virgins" she continued, "did not share their oil!", "neither the husband admitted so!". That was tough(but funny). Regards, Quote
4kidsand3dogs Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 The real purpose of food storage is to be prepared in an emergency....being prepared for whom should not be the question. Your responsibility in the time of crisis is to be a Christlike beacon for whoever is in need. If you are prepared then you can give freely to those in need and Heavenly Father will make up the rest. We as members of His church are going to be expected to give of our selves and our food for those in need, just as the Savior did. If you follow the guidence given and are prepared both temporally and spiritually you will not go with out but will only be blessed with more for doing as the Savior would have done. Quote
