He has give us The Book of Mormon for our day...to help...to inspire us-to lead us home but not apart from The Church... This happens through repantance, the hope of all sinners... David could pray...Psalms 51:1 " Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions." This is our hope -This is what I would call a gateway verse that opens the whole Book Of Mormon to us... Alma 34:18 " Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is mighty to save." Let us Hope in God. It could mean a forgiveness (thus a release) of ones sins. It could mean a release from mortal life.
