The_Phoenix Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 I have a son I have not seen in a year, so Christmas will be great because I will get to speak to him. Do any of you have sons or daughters on missions. I remember when my daughter served, but she was only gone for one Christmas. Quote
Dravin Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 Heh, before I clicked on the thread for additional context my first thought is, "Why wouldn't the missionaries use the phone on Sunday?" :) Quote
rameumptom Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Don't have any right now. I do know of a few that are planning to Skype with their missionary on Christmas. It isn't too late to do that, so that you not only can hear each other, but see one another, as well. Quote
CookieC Posted December 25, 2011 Report Posted December 25, 2011 We spoke to our missionary son in the South Pacific earlier tonight (Christmas Eve). Because he's a day ahead, we got a real treat at our family dinner tonight! We were able to Skype for the first time and it was wonderful. Got to see not only our missionary but his companion and the awesome member family that invited them over. Best Christmas present I'll get this year for sure! Quote
jayanna Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 No missionaries in the family yet, but we usually let them call from our house. How did it go? Quote
