HEthePrimate Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 With General Conference being held on the 1st of April this year, what April Fool's pranks might the General Authorities play on the audience? (Or on each other, for that matter?) Quote
rameumptom Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Back in 1976, I attended General Conference with my priests' quorum, and it also was on April 1. After attending one session, we went back to the car, where a couple dressed for a wedding also were (she in her gown). We congratulated them, as they offered us some cake. Seems they orchestrated a giant April Fool's Day wedding at the Hotel Utah. Even the bride's maid was fooled. Quote
Captain_Curmudgeon Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Just the idea of GAs pulling practical jokes was enough to get me laughing. Imagine your favorite GA coming back to his seat after some solemn address and sitting down on a miked-up whoopee cushion. Edited March 21, 2012 by Captain_Curmudgeon add example Quote
HEthePrimate Posted March 21, 2012 Author Report Posted March 21, 2012 I can picture Joseph Smith doing fun, silly things. In fact, wasn't he criticized by some people for not being somber enough for their taste? Quote
