weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 5, 2007 Report Posted October 5, 2007 Hey! My name is Kelsey! I am 15 yrs old! And I live in Arizona! So i am looking for some people to talk to! So if you are intrested in meeting a new friend, I'm your kind of girl! =P So I hope to meet some of you! Smiles Always, Kelsey S.M. Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Hey Kelsey, I'm Eric. :) I could go thoroughly introduce you to myself here, but if you look at my introductory thread, it really says it all, lol. Anyways, welcome! The Youth Boards may be quiet at the time, from what it seems like (I haven't been here long either), but hopefully it'll pick up sooner or later. Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 Hi Eric! So I read your introduction thread and you seem like a pretty cool guy! It must be hard for you to be 1 out of 5 LDS people in your school! So you play lots of sports huh? Well I used to run and play volleyball, but i can't anymore due to a knee injury! My mom won't let me do any sports anymore. *tear*! But all is well! So anyway, I hope we can become friends!! Ü Reply Soon! Kelsey!! Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 6, 2007 Report Posted October 6, 2007 Lol, so do I! Being one of the few members in the church can be troublesome, but I also consider it a blessing. I really have a long-term trial to keep myself pure with the worldy pressure around me, and the more I endure, the more blessings I come to realize. Plus, there are several kids who don't even know what the church is about, and it's really neat explaining. I have one kid in my history class who has 2-3 questions for me every day about the church. So it's a great pre-missionairy experience. And yes, I love my sports, I wouldn't know how to go on if it weren't for them. That's too bad to hear about your situation, though, maybe you should truly ask your mother earnestly to let you play again, have her talk to a doctor. or praying works too! (well, wait. Is your knee injury permanent?) My mom almost didn't let me play hockey last year, since after getting hit hard I got a concussion where I was unconcious for about five minutes. Lucky thing she wasn't there --she heard about it over the phone-- otherwise I might've been in the same situation as you. Are there a lot of members your age where you live? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 6, 2007 Author Report Posted October 6, 2007 Well I actually have crocked knee caps, (a genetic thing), so my knees are bad to start with! But then I injured one of them doing yoga in my aerobics class at school last year, and partailly tore a ligament! So at first she didnt let me run for a while! And then I asked her if I could pretty please run and she said I could! But then as I came home from running I twisted my knee weird and hurt it again! So she finally said no more sports! So it's a bummer, but I am ok with it! So anyway! Yeah, there are tons of Members at my school! I'd say about 65-75% of my school is LDS! So It's cool I guess, but atleast it's better than going to a ALL mormon school! I would not like that!! So yeah! So your a sophomore right? I am! So....... what kind of music do you listen to? Smiles Always, Kelsey <3 Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 Yeah, I'm a sophomore too. Hm, music. I listen to a lot actually. As far as favorites go, I'm a sucker for rock and techno. There are very few bands in the area that actually "connect" with the spirit, but a lot of the ones I listen to I'm sure are fine with it. They tend to be bands nobody's ever heard of too, lol: Jason Mraz, LCD Soundsystem, The Postal Service, Celldweller, Sixx:AM, DJ Tiesto, Anberlin, A7X, Finch, yeah... I could go on for quite some time. What about you? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 7, 2007 Author Report Posted October 7, 2007 hehe! I have never heard of those before!!! I listen to mostly Country like Tim McGraw and Keith Urban! I also like Snow Patrol, lifehouse and the fray! So yeah! So what are some intrestes of yours? Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 You and my sister have similar taste, music-wise. Interests, during any season sports mainly occupy my open time. Actually, sports seasons are when I come online a lot more too. But when I get the time, like in the summer, I'll normally start off my day by rollerblading 10-20 miles. It's like a highlight for me, not a workout, I LOVE skating. Then I'll normally clown around with my friends, whether it's playing street hockey, going to a movie, going cliff-jumping, whatever works. That'll normally wrap up right before a soccer game though, I play a lot of soccer in the summer. And, you probably noticed from before that I'm a music addict. I must have close to...700 songs on my iPod. What about you? Oh, and what kind of classes do you have this year? (my turn to pull the question trigger ) Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 7, 2007 Author Report Posted October 7, 2007 hehe! WOW! thats alot of miles!! hehe! As for me, well I love to play the piano! I also love to read! Mostly Harry Potter and the Tennis Shoes Adventure series! I also like to bake! I made delicious cinamon rolls today!! They were yummy! hehe! But when I am not doing those things, I am hanging with my friends from my ward and school! So yeah! As for classes, I am taking History, English, Geometry, Biology, Seminary, and an Interior Design/ Fashion Class! I want to be an Interior Designer when I'm older so that is why I am taking that class! And you? Also What is your favorite animal? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Posted October 8, 2007 oh and I also enjoy watching my Arizona Diamondbacks play! GO BASEBALL! hehe! Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 The Twins are really good here. Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, and Johan Santana are becoming household names. (the three J's) You should send over one of those cinnamon rolls too. I'm like, addicted to those, lol. Anyways, right now I've got Geometry Honors, Gym/Health, Spanish II, and American Concepts Honors. Later on I'm looking forward to taking Sports Medicine and Marketing I. Sports medicine for obvious reasons, and our Intro to Business class was really interesting, so I'm curious about Marketing. Sounds fun to me, for some reason. Animal, huh? Well, the penguin's always been a close favorite, but I like just the general canine too. Wolves, dogs, all that, they're just awesome. Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Posted October 8, 2007 WOW! So you must be smart ! But anyway, Penguins are cool! My favorite would have to be Frogs! I absolutly love frogs! I don't know why! I just do! We used to have a frog in my fish tank! Oh! I also like Fish! We have a fishtank at my house! It's salt water! It's AWESOME! hehe! In our old house we used to have 2 fish tanks! My dad is a little obsessed! hehe! Lets see........ How about, what is your favorite Color! And what is your favorite food? hehe! Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 I had a teacher who was obsessed with frogs too, never really figured that one out. As for colors, I'd have to say my favorite would be cerulean. It's very unheard of, but it's such a unique and calming shade of blue, it just hits me. Food, hehe, I'll eat about anything. If you've ever eaten from a Mexican chain/restaurant known as 'Chipotle', I absolutely slave over those burritos. You could get me to build a pyramid if that were my reward (you'd owe me a LOT of burritos though). Also a big fan of Italian and Chinese, both depending on the mood my stomach is in. Anything that has marinara and mozzerella has got my vote. Or spicy Mexican. Or French. Or...well, back to the about anything option. What about you? Oh, and here's a random one. If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 8, 2007 Author Report Posted October 8, 2007 hehe! You are so funny! As for me, I love Italian food and Spicey food! yumm! My favorite is Lasagna! Yummy! Superpower, huh? Well Mine would have to be Selective mind reading! hehe! what about you? And... What are some of your physical features (kinda weird i know, but i would like to picture who i'm talking to! ) Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Hm... well for powers, I agree with you that mind-reading would be nice. I think my top choice would be between being able to fly and invisibility though. Physical features? Lol, I wish I had a pic to summarize it for me, but our digital isn't so handy the way my sister deletes everything that isn't hers. Best I could say is your typical athletic build. Slim enough, but not scrawny or anything like that, with a decent amount of muscle, but not like football player amount. I've currently got brown-ish hockey hair (I grow it out for the season), wear contacts, am obsessed with T-Shirts in shorts (I'll wear them even if it's like, 20 degrees out), and I wear this necklace I got from Hawaii 24/7. You? (you have pics though, that's not fair ) My comeback question? What color...is thou toothbrush? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 cool! You sound pretty cute!! hehe! So you saw my picture? Yeah, it's kinda small! But for more features, I am 5 foot 4ish and I where classes 75% of the time! I have very fair skin (i have to where sunscreen all the time), ummm.... lets see...... I have green eyes, dark blonde hair, that is long (I actually need to get it cut soon) and I have braces ( i get them off in 3 months!!!) oh and like you, i have my CTR ring that where 24/7! So yeah! Thats pretty much me! hehe! As for my tooth brush.... It is Pink! The most awesome color! Just Kidding! what about you? So today I made cookies! I was really bored so I decided to make cookies! I also cleaned the whole kitchen! hehe! (the things i do when i am bored!!) OK, now another question.............. how about, what is your favorite movie? Smiles Always, Kelsey! Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 My toothbrush is blue-ish and white-ish. Goes great with Scope toothpaste. Dang, the movie question is always the hardest question for me. I've have to say the Mighty Duck series, D1, D2, and D3. They don't display hockey all that well and I know they're kids movies, but the overall stories and actors are just great! Tus? Favorite season, and why? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 My favorite movie of all time is Newsies! Have you seen that? I also like Pride and Prejudice (the one with Kiera Knightly in it)! I watch these movies all the time!! Hmm, my favorite season would have to be Winter! Cause Arizona (where I live) has very nice weather during this time!! you? OK and another question............... what do you want your career to be when your older?? Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Newsies, huh? Once again, you and my sister have similar tastes. I swear she was about to put a knife to my throat until I bought her the karaoke version of "King of New York." Haven't seen Pride and Prejudice though. Winter would be a for sure favorite if it weren't so long up here, largely due to the fact of hockey, pond hockey, skiing, and a lot of the big "things" or events happen during the winter. Otherwise the spring is great too, we get such nice weather. For careers, I've always been changing. Right now I'm debating between an electrical engineer and physical therapist, (like, sports medicine) but if I could I'd also like to step up into different business positions like management, marketing, and even entreprenuership. They may sound boring and all that, but my seminary teacher owns the largest local division of Target, and he's shown me that it can actually be fun and doesn't take all that much time! Whichever way, I hope to go to BYU-Provo for college. You? Oh, and have you gone on any super-cool vacations? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 Whoa! Your sister and I are very similar! hehe! Well I want to go be an Interior Designer! I always like decorating and stuff! My mom is actually leting me do my bathroom! I am excited! So anyway, I want to go to BYU- Idaho! Thats where my parents went and I heard they have a really good Interior Design program! So yeah! Vacations! I love vacations! I actually just got back from California on last Thursday! And we went to Disneyland/ California Adventures for 2 days! So that was way fun! I love Disneyland! hehe! So what about you? Any fun vacations? And for another question, how tall are you? ( I cant think of anything else ) Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Interior decorating. That would be fun, if I were any good at it. We've had some pretty good vacations. If it's a big one, we have two-four families we go with, and both my best friend and my sister's best friend are from one of those families, so it's cool. Last June we went to Hawaii for 10 days, which was a lot of fun. We also all went to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico for 8 days, which with the service (free food and smoothies whenever you wanted...humina humina ), was paradise. Some of those families went to France too, but we had things going on, so that didn't happen. No worries. I think last time I checked I was...5'10". I get spurts on and off, so I'm never really sure. What kind of shows do you watch, or if none, what do you do with your free-time? Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 10, 2007 Author Report Posted October 10, 2007 5 10!! WOW! Thats tall! You are like 5 inches taller than me!! hehe! Well I dont watch to much television, but I do love watching Saved By The Bell and Full House! I know these are 80's shows but they are fabulous! But when I am not watching TV I am either reading a book or practicing the piano! I also babysit like ALL THE TIME!! probaly 2-3 times a week! It's crazy, but I enjoy it! I make lots of money so all is well! What about you? So how many siblings do you have? Are you the oldest, youngest, or in the middle? Quote
Lolgirl Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hehehehe I'm going to be rude and butt in.Hi Kelsey. Nice to have you on the boards :) You've already met runner.she's my twin. :) Quote
weasley_is_my_hero Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hello Lolgirl! Yes I have met runner! Thats your twin?!?! Thats so cool! Smiles Always, Kelsey S.M. Quote
HockeyDude Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Hey Lolgirl! Sakura, right? Oh, and to the questions, I'm not that much of a TV person. We have plenty of hockey to watch up here I guess, so I'll watch that on TV, or otherwise I'm a big fan of the series "House." Can't miss that. "Full House" is good too, we always watch that when it's on in the summer. There's also this improv comedy show out there called "Who's Line is it Anyways" out there that I've been watching for a number of years, it's so funny. I'm the oldest of the kids, two younger sisters. (not always the greatest thing, but it's alright ) Quote
