Why Serve a Mission?

When you decide to serve a mission, you’re committing two years (for elders) or 18 months (for sisters) to selflessly serving others. You won’t have control over where you’re assigned or who you’re with – that’s all part of God’s plan for you. You’ll be placed in unique areas, paired with different companions, and given the opportunity to share the gospel with others. A mission is a rare chance to fully dedicate yourself to God’s work, and it’s not something that comes around just anytime. If you feel the call to serve, understand it’s more than a mere desire – it’s God reaching out to you to help His children. Answering this call will be one of the best decisions you make, and it will not only transform the lives of those you serve, but yours as well.

8 months ago, I got baptized into the LDS church. 🙏 Today, I sat down with the missionaries to hear their sales pitch on why I should serve a mission. Missionary work is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity—a chance to focus entirely on God and serving others. After hearing their experiences, I honestly feel like I’ll be serving a mission in the next year or two. Let’s see where I go! ✈️ #FaithJourney #MissionaryLife #ServingGod
