  1. Thanks. I think this answers my question. I was just wondering whether it's possible to get married "in the eyes of god" without having to get "officially married via the law". Thanks to everyone!!
  2. So basically a couple will not be properly married unless it's registered in the government? So any other type of marriage would be void? We're in the Netherlands here. Does that change something?

  4. Hello there Mormon friends! I'm new here. First of all I'd like to thank the LDS.net for providing such a great forum. So here's my question: I really don't know how to explain my situation. So please excuse me for directly asking my question: Is there something similar to the Islamic Nikah in the Mormon religion? Nikah is a fully legit way of marring someone, but it's not necessarily recorded in the government's databases. It's more like a "spiritual wedding". So it's a contract between "you and god". I'd REALLY appreciate any answers... and I'm in a great hurry too. Thanks so much guys!!
