  1. The final Zion will be built in America...even Masons know that...dah! -eric
  2. Well, you ask what salvation Mormons are looking for. Let us first build a foundation regarding how Mormons understand...... Belief, Faith, and Knowledge The words, Belief, Faith, and Knowledge have different meanings. The understanding of these terms will aid you in proper Christian understanding. Let us take a look at the word, "belief". Belief basicaly means an intellectual assent. Like the belief of existance. One may look at a chair and say I believe that the chair is there, right in front of me. Just because one believes that the chair is in front of him does not mean that one has faith to sit in it. It takes faith to sit down in it. Thus, faith implies confidence and conviction. Faith is belief in action. People exercise different degrees of faith in different objects. Some believe in God but do not put faith in God. They may put more faith in their car than they do in God. The foundation of faith is based on knowledge. Knowledge is important. We need proper knowledge in order to properly function. This is why our theology as Christians must be correct. Accurate knowledge produces true belief and true belief produces marvelous faith, action! True faith will spring from trustworthy evidence. It will be rightly interpreted by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our faith gives us the power of assurance under all circumstances. This thus becomes the impelling force by which we struggle to mature in our relationship with Heavenly Father. When we exercise true faith it is pleasing to God. With full confidence we can face the challenges of life. We must understand that proper belief, faith, and knowledge are essential to true salvation and sustaining a living and growing relationship with God. True faith, active faith, is essential to salvation. True faith is a Divine Gift of God. True faith works! Good works are essential to true Christianity. Faith without works is dead! A faith that works is a faith that has works. Belief must be understood through proper knowledge. The first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are; Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; Repentance; Baptism; and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Christians must have such a feeling of trust in God that it effects the whole of their lives. Faith may at first only manifest itself as little more than a feeble belief but true faith based on accurate knowledge will become the driving force of the Christians life. -By Eric W. 3. Here's the problem with that: First, it is hardly persausive to say that some unnamed and unquoted authority agrees with you. I wonder if you could provide us the name and exact quote please. Second, you are probably confusing this verse with other scripture that cautions against relying on the arm of flesh as opposed to relying on the Lord. That's not this verse. Third, you shouldn't pick one verse out of a book or chapter and interpret it in isolation. The first part of book of Romans illustrates God's grace and forgiveness, so much so that one might be fall into a trap of faulty thinking, namely, "Hey, the more I sin, the more God can forgive me. Cool. I can live any way I want to." But then in Chapter 6 Paul switches gears and reacts with outrage to that kind of liberal thinking. He then talks about Christian living and discusses why sin is so hard to overcome. Does God forgive everything, no matter how bad? What really happens when we become Christians - do we change or do we not? If that is not enough Chapter 8 itself starts out addressing sin and sinful nature and sinful man. Chapter 8 is like a breath of fresh air. It is one of the most hopeful passages in the Bible telling us that sin can be overcome and that as the Spirit works along side us as we relate to God. Some people don't always grasp the Elizabethan language of the KJV. It is sometimes useful to check modern langauge versions to gain understanding, besides which some modern versions are superior or at least more accurate translations. The NCV says: "If you use your lives to do the wrong things your sinful selves want, you will die spiritually. But if you use the Spirit's help to stop doing the wrong things you do with your body, you will have true life." The NIV says: "For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live." In this case Omen's and Arthur's interpretation is correct. ←

  5. If you look at the Articles of Faith you will clearly see that Mormons believe in two Zions, two Jerusalems, and a coming City of Enoch. As far as your question about the Jerusalem coming from the sky I do know that the city of Enoch is to return from the sky. I also would like to hear some more comments regarding this issue. Good questions! -eric

  7. Romans 8:13 “those who live by the flesh fail.” Actually, this verse simply means not to trust in the works of the flesh to save you. Apostle Paulk says in Philippians: "have no confidence in the flesh." [Philippians 3:3-8] Simply put....It means that we are not to trust in the flesh for salvation. -eric
  8. The way to understand judgement can be summed up thusly: Have I hurt God? Have I hurt others? Have I hurt myself? Ask these questions every day, more than once. Walk in the WAY. -eric w. king
  9. The Hebrew name, Yahweh breaks down like this: It is spelled with four Hebrew letters, Yod Hey Vav Hey. The first two [Yod Hey] are masculine. The last two [Vav Hey] are feminine. When you drop the Hebrew letter Shin in between this four letters you have Yod Hey [shin] Vav Hey which in the Hebrew spells "Jesus", pronounced, Yeshua. -eric visit my website at: http://czuzone.teach-nology.com
  10. "To be an effective leader or teacher, one must show love and actually feel love for the person he is trying to instruct. No power is as motivating as the power of love. Christ loved everyone—the weak, the sinner, the righteous. Sometimes, the ones who need to be loved most are the ones who seem to deserve it the least. Though we may not appreciate or approve of what someone does, we must still show love for the individual." Sometimes the truth may hurt..right down to the soul. It may sting like a knife..or pain like a throb...never the less..Truth is truth. -eric "The giant oak was once a small nut who stood his ground."
  11. How many rights and how many wrongs are there? Too many to count? Is there one answer for everybody? This would mean that there is really only one ultimate truth of all things. -eric [Mormon]..from many religions my site: http://czuzone.teach-nology.com
