Truth and religion don't exactly go hand in hand. PROOF of this is the ignorance that a religious person displays when they ignore scientific studies proving evolution.

Ok, just to clarify. Chuck Norris is a Brazillian Jiu Jitsu black belt. If i can knock a person out before taking them down, i'm doing that. And. Brazillian Jiu Jitsu is not a dominant style in MMA. MMA is the dominant style of MMA. If any single style could be said as MMA's most dominant, it would probably be wrestling or Muay Thai.

I actually quite like the guy, but he is not to the calibre of a mixed martial artist and is at least another year of Bas' tuition before being considered as such. In a street fight, even in such an enviroment, a skilled MMA fighter will be able to pick apart any traditionalist. Well rounded skills and the ability to switch levels, keep distance and use effective lateral movement is too much for most traditionalist to handle. Have you seen the old video of Royce Gracie fighting a Kung Fu practitioner, some one who had been trained to "kill"? Royce had him crying like a girl within a few seconds. And he wasn't even breathing hard enough to blow out a candle! As i said, MMA is the final stages of perfecting martial arts. It is just a matter of fine tuning and further progression and mixing up different styles that will see the final results come sooner. MIXED being the key word, and 3-4 different styles rolled into one fighter is always going to beat one style that the practitioner has never even tested his "killing" strikes to their full effectiveness.

Isn't it nice that you must feel you are so beyond reasoning that you are ignorant to what has been proven in black and white with years of scientific studies into evolution. Even if it is not 100% accurate, evolution can at least make a case for itself and isn't just a bed time story. What evidence do you have that god is real? What evidence do you have? What a ridiculous load of bile that is! Mixed martial arts is the end result of thousands of years of martial arts and training. I would seriously doubt that a high grade ninjutsu practitioner could come close to ripping Fedor Emelianenko's eye out with out having his head knocked off before hand. All of these arts like ninjutsu and such are such a ridiculous comparison for one reason, they do not train their death strikes. And furthermore they do not train to use them on aware opponents. Put a ninjustu guy into an octagon with a readied MMA fighter, he'd last 30 seconds... Maximum!

Every male in their early 20's that has ever felt for a girl will know exactly what i mean. When men get to such a point, especially at such an age, they will do just about anything for a girl they feel deeply for. But it is usually the girl who puts the firewalls up. Trust me, been there done that (still there, still doing that to be honest). So that comes back to my initial explanation. Knowing these feelings, i know i have, and would again let my emotions loose for that special somebody, but, can i count on them being returned. Not likely. Women play more mind games with men then they would ever admit to. And i'm under the strong impression that they like having control in such a situation that they will string it along for amusment or gain. Frustrated? Got you! What is the seed that god used to create human life? There does not have to be a farmer if a seed can grow in soil by itself. Seeds can blossom without farmers, humans can blossom without god. Plant life is a sign of evolution and perfection over time of adjusting and climatisation. This is where religion falls apart in their belief and evolutionist are able to make an extremely strong case in their theory as we can prove this to extensive degrees where you cannot even show me evidence of there being a god. We evolved from great apes with the aid of bacterial evolution. God didn't just sprinkle some seeds, just to use your analogy.

Atheism is not close to being a religion. It is a choice with a theory. It is not a belief with a story. And why can we not question a god? Is it for me to assume that just because there is a possibility that we were created by a higher being that they cannot be wrong? Who created god? Does god not question his creator? Want to talk about open minds, here is one for you. We are the creations of one being, that is the creation of another being so on so forth... Only for the first creator of the creations being a bacterial assmebly of gasses forming life and evolving over time to create intelligent life. See, thats the thing with free thinking. You have religion that tells you how it is with no question after god. The end result is your god. My thinking along with other Atheist do not care for such a black and white explanation and further imagine that we cannot be all there is and that one being cannot be responsible for all of us. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong, just explaining that i don't think you quite have the open minds you may think you do.

I find that interesting. Very intelligent reply otherwise. Why does there have to be an author of elements? Evolution has been proved, in many ways, where religion is simply a belief with no real evidence that it should be known as anything else other than a belief. The chicken theory is one that i believe to be true, but with the twist that it wasn't a chicken when it started its journey of evolution. Evolution has shown the unlikely origins of one being cannot be counted out as another and because of this, evolution has not been a surprise in the latter part of our history. Religion on the other hand has so many unanswered questions such as the original question of this topic.

I am curious as to how the Adam and Eve story can be true when compared to Darwins theory of evolution. Is there anyone out there that tell me that there is a more precise explanation to Adam and Eve that is more relevant then the only realistic theory (albeit, not really a theory, but an unanswered question) that is the same of what came first, the chicken or the egg? There is incest in this story further down the line, how is that accepted by religious groups? If we were all to be created in Gods image, does that mean he "is" as ignorant as displayed by Adam and Eve, or does that simply mean that we are born of free mind and have to choose our own path, therefore meaning that religion is a choice and not a way of life? Excuse my inquisitive mind, i would just like these things explained with clarity so i can be helped to understand them.

Being nice to women is not enough. I don't know what more a person should have to do to be honest. I have always heard people say that if you be the best person you can be all good things will come to you. Is this a lie? Or is it simply some feel good kind of nonsense to give people hope? Fact of the matter is that nice guys DO finish last and it is NOT even remotely close to being their fault. And i think the majority of women out there know they are to blame. If you want somebody to be nice to you, care for you and be there to the end, it cannot be that hard to open your eyes and see the obvious choices. So, women, what is it that you really want? A man that can relate emotionally and be open to listen to anything, and just plain and simply be there for you.... OR.... Some egotystical moron who has selective caring modes... But probably has a six pack, albeit outside of himself does not really care about anything other than the image that you give to him to uphold his portrayal of the ego he has built for himself, is that what women want? This is an open question, and i wouldn't expect honest answers from any women to be honest... But hey, come on, surprise me.

I am a mixed martial arts journalist and actively train in the sport. I am yet to actually fight, but i am giving myself an 18 month training plan to get myself physically and mentally prepared. After that, i cannot wait to get into a cage with another human being with the sole intent to knock each other out or tear a limb off. It is exciting to think about.

Hello fine people. I would like to take the time to say hello. I am Australian, i have lived here my whole life and love it. I was shown this sight by a close personal friend who thought it might help me. I was confused as to what he meant, but i thought i'd have a look anyway. You see, i'm an Atheist, but my friends always tell me i come accross very sad and lonely. They also think that i can be very stand off'ish and not the easiest person to get along with. I don't think i'm a bad person but i do feel that there is an empty hole within me, and i think that is why my friend showed me this website. He thinks that maybe some body here can help me... I am open minded to listening to people and hope that maybe a void inside me can be filled whilst here.
