Hi, My name is Melanie. I'm brand new to the church. About a month ago my husband answered the door when the missionaries knocked ~ he will talk to anyone about God or religion, He grew up Catholic and is well versed in his scripture. He kept the missionaries outside in our lawn for about an hour (He is very protective of his family, if it doesn't fly with him then he chooses not to involve any of us - and he was weary of our visitors in ties ). My husband and I talked it over for about two weeks and I hesitantly agreed to meet them ( I was the one that always hid behind the door when missionaries rang the bell) I grew up Lutheran and nothing was ever going to change my mind about my God and my traditions. However, these two young men sat on my couch and gave me a little blue book to read and I haven't been able to put it down since. I'm not 100% convinced though, I'm struggling with the concept of living profits and apostils. I'm sure those in Moses' time questioned him as well. Anyway.. My husband and I will be baptized later this month and it just feels right so I guess my journey is beginning.
