  1. An issue I have is that modesty is always the woman's responsibility. I have a problem with being told that I need to "cover up" for the sake of men. I understand that there are parts of the body that should not be shown but I also feel that there are parts of the body that are not sexual. I often hear people say that we should dress in such a way that we would feel comfortable standing in front of the Savior. I do not understand this saying because I am not sure why I would be uncomfortable standing in from the the Savior in anything. I also have a problem with this idea that women who do dress immodestly being made lesser. Their thoughts and inner motives are not known and the fact that they may show more than YOU think is okay, does not speak to their character. Furthermore, rape is a crime/act of aggression not sex so it doesn't matter how one is dressed.
