  1. When you are talking to another out side the church trying to teach them and all you show them is words from the Book of Mormon sometimes I think it makes it harder for them to understand cause we were brought up there is only one book and that's the...KJV I just feel if people of our church could read and point to some of the new comers questions directly from the Bible it would help them to see better. Yes i do beleive in the Book of Mormon, but they never heard of it and have a hard time digesting a book written by someone else other than the bible. Seeing God when the Bible says no one has ever laid eyes on God. Not many times in my studies with the missionary's did they refer to the Bible. I found that to be rather odd and almost turned away just for that reason. For myself I have had enough experience with other religions that I knew more of the pieces of the puzzle fit together with what was being taught to me. For some they don't have that insight and only have been brought into GOD'S word through the KJV. I still feel like the Mormon's need to refere to the BIBLE MORE OFTEN than they do because that is what people know and I feel they would understand and not argue with you if you show them directly from the Bible. Trying to beleive a young boy saw Jesus and Jesus talked to him is hard on people who never heard that before then quoting from the Book of Mormons makes it harder for them. So personally I always refere to the bible as much as possible until that person can understand the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It's hard for them to see that so be gentle when dealing with people who have never heard of the book.
  2. Somewhere in the Bible it talks about one sin being like another. I am not quoting ty correctly, but like if you say get mad and go get drunk, then that sin is treated just like any other sin.. sin is sin.. That why I suppose God says we aren't perfect and that is why he ask us to talk to him and ask forgiveness each day to help remove any guilt that is lingering from day to day. We sin all the time... I think also we are to hard on ourselves in life too, we strive to be perfect and kill ourselves trying when it doesn't help to go around beating oneself up minute after minute. The best way I can work on sin is by not being around people whos way of life isn't like mine staying away from them helps me alot cause they don't view things they do in life whole heart like we do. They will say oh that isn't that bad God understands but do it willingly when we struggle not to do sin. I know when i was interviewed that question came up and I have never had an abortion so the discussion was over at that point, but i often wonder if I had had an abortion what would have been done or said about that? any input on that cause I do know someone who had two abortions. JUst wondering cause it may make a difference one day in her life.
  3. I have been looking for a site to interact with other lDS Sister and Brothers. I am from Kentucky and do have a church family here who are wonderful. I am a convert of two years now still learning and working on my life so I can meet Jesus! I find the walk isn't as bad as some want to see it, but what I do see hard is the non-believers around me. They make it rough on a person so all I can do is try and be an example which sometimes that doesn't come out just like you want it to, cause Satan is on our tails. So each day I try a little harder and one day I hope to make it to the temple. Good day to all.
