My husband and I were married nearly a year ago when we eloped for various reasons. We were only married civilly and now our sealing date is coming up. Since we never had a wedding reception before, would it be inappropriate to do so now? Would it be better to treat our sealing as a sort of vow renewal and have a reception for that? Both our families are upset about not celebrating our marriage in the past. Thank you for any thoughtful advice you might have.
