    Very well put Gwen. It's like people think of getting sealed much like some of mainstream christianity thinks of accepting jesus and being saved. As if it's "Well, that's done, bound, and taken care of forever no matter what I do, because I "accepted christ/got sealed". It's ALL about our actions and deeds once the ordinance has been made, and now you have to live it. It boggles my mind how people think we won't have our agency or that we'll be damned and stuck with someone you were sealed to in a previous marriage but only had a clearance done with, yet you're trudging through the highest degree of glory, miserable because you're sealed to two people, one who you used to be married to, and there's this eternal elephant in the room causing all sorts of discord because you're sealed to two women at the same time for ever and ever. Ha... yah, cuz that's how it is...

    How did everything work out after you went to New Zealand? You started this thread three years ago. I'm just curious how things turned out.

    Do you know how many months the second one took? My first clearance took 3 months and only after the approval letter did my bishop tell me how vindictive and evil speaking my ex ( who left the church) was. I'm curious how long his second one was. Thank you very much

    Input. Leadership realizes the other side can be vindictive and vengeful. I was told in mine, they want to see if things are consistant, but in some cases take it with a grain of salt.

    I'm curious, did his second clearance take longer than his first? I will need to have a second clearance some day and the thought of that led me here. Also, did they contact the first ex-wife when applying for the SECOND clearance, or does the previous clearance already count? I'm not perfect or without blame, but both marriages of mine there was infidelity on their part, I've always remained strong and these trials have helped me grow and learn how the atonement applies to us individually. My first ex left the church too. My second got disfellowshipped. Do you think it'll take longer for my second clearance? The marriages were 1998 and 2005. Thanks!
