  1. Hi tree,

I am in no position to judge that matter. I would suggest that you should hang in there and do the best you can. Because at some point the Lord has promised to cleanse His Gentile church and set it in order again. I believe the "Parable of the Pear Tree" which speaks of this.

so your saying blacks have not the right to the preisthood and that the faithful partner of an adulterated marriage can only marry a faithful member that is already married??,or could she or he marry a faithful partner that was wronged the same way and still be in obedeince to Heavenly Father? please explain in laymans terms exactly what message is that you are presenting us with so we all can make sure exactly what it is you are saying!!

  2. Hi,

I picked "other". I was raised LDS, but was cast out for sincere claim of the right of legitimate dissent in the church against the current leadership. I do not accept the Wooley or LeBaron claims to authority, but do accept the Second Book of Commandments.

I am always respectful of other people's faith.

?so are you saying that the rest of us that has been baptized and had hands layed on us since this "error" has taken place is not truly baptized or given the HolyGhost
  3. I learned many things that made me realize the church wasn't true, IMO. After leaving the church I decided I had to re-evaluate all my religious beliefs. After doing so, I pretty much became agnostic. To me, being agnostic doesn't mean you know the answers to the questions. It just means you realized it's ok to not know the answers. I can't say whether there is a God or not, but I'm ok with that.

thank you both firemormon and godless for your honest opinions and point of view. i wish you both a happy journey through life! good luck:shamrock:

  4. I am a former mormon turned agnostic.

firemormon,, what made you make that choice???? i tried that before i became LDS, but it left me with more questions than answers and not to mention extremely dry without the HOLYSPIRIT!!:( if a doctor told you that you have 24 hours to live , knowing what you know about both spiritual beliefs, would you remain agnostic ???

  5. the fact that you feel guilt is an awesome sign of true repentance. now just keep praying for the peace that true repentance and forgivness gives. seek HEAVENLY FATHER with all your heart and what he expects of each of his children, read the Bible and the book of MORMON . seek GODS face because your life depends on it as well as your families lives! satan will try to hit you with feelings of guilt and unworthiness, tell him to take a hike!! your changing for the better and blessed life of CHRIST and while we are not perfect we are striving , and growing and the closer we get to GOD, the more power we have to protect us from sin, satan, and the desires of the carnal world. so pray, get you your scriptures and POWER UP!! p.s. i was in your same boat before as well as others, some may have sinned less , some more. but sin is sin GIVE IT TO GOD AND FORSAKE IT!! :saint: aim high my brother!!

  6. i havent got to see the movie or read her books yet ? are they as good as i am hoping? i totally love harry potter and cirque du freak, in cirque du freak there is never a dull moment and the further along you get from book to book the more mesmerizing the story grows and you just cannot put it down !! i wish they would make a series of movies for it like the harry potter movie series!:wizard:

  7. I've read both, but it left me with more questions than answers until i was introduced to the book of Mormon when i was 34yrs old.praise HEAVENLY FATHER and Joseph Smith for that! now i have peace of mind and know which path to take. before when i was a pentecostal , some how i knew that there was more i needed to know and do. well that some how was the HOLY SPIRIT telling me.

  8. in 1996, my 7 yr old son and his dad and i had just gotten back from church, when i went to my bedroom to change, i reach in for the light switch but couldn't find it, and i thought i saw something run,and as it ran i could feel the pitter-patter of its little feet and i auto-matically thought it was a rat but then it jumped up toward my window which was open but had a screen on it and just vanished out of thin air! so i ran into the living room and said there was some one in the bedroom ( i didn't say exactly what i saw because i didn't want them to think i was nuts !) so my ex-husband ran in there with a knife he had begun using to butterfly some shrimp with and searched the whole house but found nothing. they laughed at me and said that i was seeing things so i just agreed, but suddenly it got cold as ice, we couldn't hardly breath it was so cold, smoke coming from our breath in the middle of August with no A/C in the house, then my son and his dad saw a mass of swirling lights and then i began reading the bible don't ask me what book or scripture cause i don't remember but my ex said it was a demon ( i still don't know what it was )so my 7 yr old rebuked it in the name of JESUS CHRIST and it left out my front screen door. never had any more problem but to be truthful we didn't stay there very much longer. come to find out the owners of the house grew up in that house and used to see and experience things on a regular basis so they moved out and started renting the thing out knowing this. boy i was really upset when i found out. now some lady owns the house and i am so tempted to ask her if anything has ever happened to her? but i am to chicken plus if nothing has happened i don't want to freight en her. if they hadn't witnessed that i would have thought i was going nuts, kinda spooky but true!

  12. i was out for five years, the most miserable 5 yrs of my life. its so awesome to have you back in church, when one member of the body hurts we all hurt as a whole. since every thing we do as the body of Christ effects us as a whole whether it be a righteous act or an evil one. your on the right track , there was enormous addictions that i had to overcome but by the grace of God he pulled me through. praise Heavenly Father for his love , understanding , paitents and forgiveness and for most of all the gift of his son Jesus Christ for with out we would have no hope!! welcome home, in his love, tree :bearhug::twothumbsup::sunny:

  13. hello xanmad33 . i am fairly new and had all the same questions as you do , probably more ? as you do your search , you will find all the answers between this site , the truthisrestored.com and fairwiki.com,, but the best thing to do is to talk to the missionaries or to some one from the nearest LDS. church . and if you still dont agree well so be it, no strings attached. all we can do is give the answers and where to find them , Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit have to do the rest. if you can , go to the testimony section of the LDS. sites . they might lift you up a little bit. keep in touch if you want , let us know how you feel about what you learn and what you think. no one will shame you if you disagree . Heavenly Father loves us all!!!!!!! its my bed time, hope to see you around. tree :bye:
