To update the issue noted in San Antonio, some members of the church were not comfortable about the hiring of a Latter-Day Saint. But Bishop Lopes said that reviewed the teachings of their church, and it was allowed. Bishop Lopes is supporting the Latter-Day Saint and ignoring any complaints from the Catholics. Not sure how this will end up, but interesting to see a bishop of the Catholic church take this stand.

My friend who is Catholic tells me that he does adoration, where he prays on his knees for an hour. He showed me his rosary, and he uses the beads to contemplate the life of Jesus. He said that if he prayed the entire rosary, it would take about an hour, and he would think about Jesus and his mission. He said that using the posture of kneeling, saying the words of the prayers quietly, and thinking about what Jesus did and how it relates to us was a way to pray with your whole being. He said that often the hour would pass very quickly.

I heard that in San Antonio, in what many consider a very traditional Catholic church, hired a brother to not only play the organ, but also to teach music and choir to the school children. I don't think very many Catholic churches would hire a Latter-Day Saint, but maybe this is changing.
