They may have a privilege to advance. "Then shall they be gods, because they have no end." "Men are that they might have joy". However, man's joy can not be full in this earth life, thus exaltation is necessary, whereas the spirit and the body are permanently reunited in exalted form. The reason of course for us coming to earth is to gain a body and prove herewith if are are able to do all things whatsoever the Lord our God commands us. If we are able, then we keep our second estate and shall have glory added upon our heads forever and ever. As for the Holy Ghost obtaining a body, I would appreciate someone furnishing scriptorial evidence that this will occurr. Quote
