There is this company that takes your journals and family stories and then does research and turns them into kids stories or novels. I had them work on a novel for my adopted brother and his battle with mental illness. It was a great experience. I just e-mailed them and they called me and we talked through what I wanted and then they gave me the cost (like $300 bucks for a 100pg novel).
