From the perspective of a group of individuals that your church teaches are inferior.

That's why we have you though, are you saying you aren't up to the challenge? Do we need to get somebody else?

Not all mormons live under rocks and don't see "R rated" movies just because some old people tell them not to do that and to not have more than one ear piercing. If you're one of those people, I don't see how that is my problem.

Thus the use of the phrase, “in good standing”.

Really now, this is like me pointing out Mormons don't drink and then rebutting with, “Dude, some of them drink.” True, but you are speaking of individuals, I'm speaking of the group as a whole and it's standards.

Don't touch my head.

Strangely you aren't threatening.

Tis the number one argument on the Internet. :)

Red fish.

No, I'm telling you that if you are merely a rank and file chapel mormon that does everything that he is told to do (for example not seeing "R rated movies", that's your problem, not mine. Some of us are capable of deciding for ourselves if a movie merits watching based on the film itself, not on a label that somebody else decides to give to a movie. That doesn't seem to be you. I'll remember that the next time I suggest something that might be a thought terminating cliche for you.

Fairy felt threatened. I'm sure the FBI is on their way over even as we speak.

BTW, you can pat me on the head if you want. You're nice. ;)

Actually I must admit to a brain fart on this, I read your statement as “From the perspective of a group of individuals who thinks what your church teaches is inferior.” Which I think we can agree, is right up your ally, I wasn't making a childish underhanded attempt to insult you by insinuating that you were gay.

I disagree that the church teaches that homosexuals are inferior , but this thread may not be the time and place, and I think in the end, no minds would likely be changed, the assumptions that we argue from are most often just too different and incompatible with other's life views.

I don't recall ever saying it was your problem, but you are recommending that every Mormon see a rated R movie, you should know better then to expect such a suggestion to go over well (LDS agreeing with you, not “watch out for torches and pitch forks” kinda not going over well). You are of course free to suggest and recommend away, I just thought it needed pointed out that it was R as that detail didn't seem to be posted already.
