Guest TheProudDuck Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I like Elder Uchtdorf. He spoke at a stake conference in Newport Beach a few years ago. Our stake choir (which is actually pretty good) performed a piece with a difficult organ accompaniment right before Elder Uchtdorf's talk. When he got up to speak, we walked over to the organist, took off his lei (we have a lot of Polynesians in our stake, so stake conferences look like luaus), placed it around her neck, and then began his talk. I thought it was an incredibly gracious gesture. Quote
