ZionHeart Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Hello, i am a 36 year old male member of the church in Adelaide, South Australia. Married with 4 boys (and another on the way) I serve as the ward mission leader in my ward. I am hoping to share my thoughts and faith with all of you. I was born into the church, and served a mission in the south west of England and Wales (incidentally where my parents both joined the church). I have a deep appreciation for the Saviour and his atoning sacrifice, i have come to know of the truthfulness of the gospel through the feelings of the holy spirit. Looking forward to interacting with you :) ZH Quote
LDSVALLEY Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Welcome I'm a 44 year old male member from Nova Scotia, Canada. I was just released 3 weeks ago as Ward Mission Leader, best calling I ever had. Which is odd since I spent my 11 previous years of church membership wanting nothing to do with Missionary Service. You should find this is a good site with as a majority members but many who are non members. Quote
ZionHeart Posted November 29, 2009 Author Report Posted November 29, 2009 Thanks :) Funny that i dreaded the calling too, but have loved it also. Quote
Maya Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Welcome.. I have som family out there... I think. Anyway do feel welcome! So officially: Welcome to LDS.net. You will find here an ecclectic mix of LDS and some non-members. While the site is dedicated to the Gospel, and to promoting the Church to a world that often does not understand us, we also make room for conversations about current events, and about social and cultural practices within the Church. If your main desire is to learn about the Church, consider starting with the "Learn About Mormonism" forums. For more advanced teachings, that will often include a variety of perspectives, some non-LDS, consider the Gospel section of forums. While you are welcome to all main sections, be aware this site makes room for a variety of opinions and personalities. Some posters can be passionate about their views, and occasionally more so about them than about the souls of visitors. If you find something particularly offensive, feel free to make a report by clicking the appropriate tab. Quote
