Adam & Eve knew the commandment/law prior to eating the fruit, and willfully ate. Yet, Church leaders teach they transgressed. As I like your comments, what are your thoughts on that, Justice?

I found this definition: Transgression-The exceeding of due bounds or limits.

The American Heritage® Dictionary, Fourth Edition

Copyright © 2009 by Houghton Mifflin Company.

Also: Transgress-To pass over or beyond any limit; to surpass.

Webster 1828 Dictionary, Noah Webster

I tried to find the source, there was a talk or something that I had read at some point that basically stated that Adam and Eve had been given competing commandments. They had been given the commandment to not eat of the fruit, and that they had also been given the command to multiply and replenish the earth. The article went on to say that Eve made the choice to partake of the fruit in order to fulfill the command to multiply and replenish the earth. Though she willfully chose to contradict one command she chose to act to fulfill another.

It has been awhile since I read it but her act was a transgression and not a sin because though she willfully rebelled against one commandment she did so with little knowledge of what it would actually mean.

I am going to keep searching for the article. (It was not from a general authority though. It was from an apologist at FARMS I think.)

That sounds satanic - what that not Lucifer's plan to remove the ability to sin?

Sort of I suppose. The difference is that Satan was removing the ability to choose to sin. Assuming that my extremely far out there speculation were true, Christ wouldn't have so much had his agency removed, as he would have used his agency to place himself in a position where sin was impossible. That said, my speculation is not likely true, so much as food for thought.

My actual opinion is that Christ was incapable of sin not because he couldn't choose to sin, but because he was completely uninclined to do so. I suppose its kind of like saying that while I am fully capable of choosing to rob a bank, I have made myself incapable by removing any inclination from my mind and heart. It isn't what he physically couldn't do, it's what he spiritually couldn't have made himself do. And of course, as presented before, I am sure that visions came in somewhere to anchor that.
