Guest Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 In Cleveland we get white Easters all the time.Wingnut, about 3 or 4 years ago, we drove to Cleveland on the week between Christmas and New Year looking for snow. I live in Florida and the kids have never seen snow in their lives. I used to live in Cleveland (actually Mentor - NE of Cleveland) and always had white Christmas then. So, we got to the Virginia/Ohio border and the grass was still green. I was kinda confused. But then I thought, yeah, Cleveland is still farther up. We got to Mentor and there was not a lick of snow anywhere. None. The grass was even kinda green looking still. I drove 1000 miles, no snow! Christmas through New Year! That was WILD. Alpine Mountain in Mentor was closed even! So, we decided to continue driving north. We got to Niagara Falls. No snow. Not a lick. If I had my passport with me, I would have gone on to Canada. I can't believe we stayed up there for 2 weeks on Christmas/New Year and did not see a single snowflake! Quote

Churchmouse Posted December 23, 2009 Author Report Posted December 23, 2009 My white Christmas is melting. When we had five inches of snow last week the forecast was highs in the 30's and cloudy this week. Today it's in the 40's and the sun is shining. The only place that's going to be white here on Christmas in on the north side of the barn where the sun never hits. Santa will have to put some wheels on the sleigh when he hits our area. Oh well, maybe next year. Quote
Relentless Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 It is snowing right now in Denver. We are going to have a brown / dingy christmas because all the dirt, splashback and mag citrate turns the white snow colors. I'm dreaming of a dingy, dirty brown black and gray christmas... Quote

Maxgreen1 Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Unless your desert is on Jupiter, Christmas is 6.5 days from now. ElphabaEdited to add: I am old and therefore cannot add. Well, actually I can add, but I was counting the 25th when I shouldn't have. Thanks to Pam for setting me straight and sorry to Max for suggesting you live on Jupiter :).ElphOf the places in this universe where I've resided, Jupiter ain't far off xD Quote
