i have been attending the lsd church for a month or so, but have always know about lds a knew a few lds members im having a struggle im concerned about being with my family in the after life, and my family is not interested in being apart of this faith. i set a date too be baptized but i just cant get past the part of not knowing if ill have my family with me in the after life

Hello help... Actually this is an intro forum. Questions are asked in the other parts of the forum.. welcome any way. As to the question: If you join maybe you can you can better help your family to understand our religion. If you dont your family may pull you away from what you think is true... according that you do have a testimony of the Church. Do you think you can be happy with that? How strong is your testimony? I joined against my familys will. I and my husband are the only members in our families. Yes it is sad that no one else has been interested to join or even to study... but we all need to do our own decitions.

Hello Crystal and welcome to the forums. I am new here myself. (although I think this topic belongs in a different group)

To answer your question, after this life we are told there is a "waiting period" before the resurrection. In this period, known as the spirit world, many will have the chance to learn and accept the gospel. It could be people who just never heard of it, or people who kind of brushed it off without ever really having the chance to learn it.

Your family members still have plenty of time on this Earth to accept your decision and learn from it. But even if they don't, there is a chance they will in the after life.

thanks you for your replay, wasnt sure where to ask questions at. i plain to join if im family agrees or not, im just concerned about spending internal life with my family in the after life

As a member you are allowed to visit them anytime even though they would never be members. But we can hope and pray, that they will become members eventually. Just remember you are never alone He is always by your site... even if you sometimes would push Him away He is never far.
