berni_niko360 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Hi all. I just need some advise. Our ward boundaries have been re-aligned, and we have a new Bishop as well, I am one of the councilors from the old ward and I got to say that our old ward was close together. With the changes, some members from my old ward did not sustain this new Bishop, I feel sad that they did not sustain him, I feel under pressure at this time, because I feel like that I have to ease things, especially the members that members that I was close with, I really thought that by these changes that they will support and sustain this Bishop, I really thought that they had a strong faith and testimony. What can I do? Especially I myself do have a great love for this man who was called of God. Quote
Maya Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Hello and welcome to LDS.net. I will change this to an other place .. in welcomes we just say hi to people. It is sad that some people dont want any changes to happen yet there are so may children of God that need the excercise of beeing a bishop or what ever. And all boundarichanges are tought very thoroughly over. I also was moved to a new place as the new chappel was ready adn I did miss all my old friends ... I still do... but the boundary went like 100 yards from me and my best friend was left in the old ward and she lived only a mile from me. But I did not complain as it is impossible to listen to everyone and please everyone. So sad about people behaving like kids! Quote

What do you mean by sustain? Did they not sustain him by vote, or don't do what he asks of them? Quote
