Tyler90AZ
“That the fulness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world” What is meant by the weak and simple? Humble? Edited January 22, 2011 by Tyler90AZ
captmoroniRM
Yup. Look at the cross reference for weak. "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;" (1 Cor 1:27). Consider the restoration of the Gospel. It was not done through some religoius scholar with degrees in theology, or some big-name pastor. A humble farmboy with a thirst for truth continues to confound many of the greatest minds in the world. I've heard eloquent and educated discourses on the gospel that lacked the power of a humble testimony given by a man who could barely read, and yet loved the Book of Mormon and knew of its truth.
