ygtadeo Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 Hello, my name is Yvette Gutierrez. Born in the U.S. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was 13. I am now 20 and attending BYU-Idaho which used to be called Ricks College. I would love some advice/feedback on preparation for a mission and also any info on international programs or host families associated with LDS church. I would love to visit a foreign country, learn a new language, and interact with members of the church around the world. Quote
RipplecutBuddha Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 welcome to the site. For advice about a mission, a talk with your bishop would probably work best. For my part, I strongly recommend it if you feel that Heavenly Father wants you to go. I learned so much about myself and the Gospel of Jesus Christ on my mission, I'm still finding out stuff years later. I would also suggest visiting the church website (LDS.org) about the other programs you're interested in. If the information isn't there, contact info should be there to guide you to people who can help you find out what's what. Quote
