Guest MrsS Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 <div align="center">THE ARTICLES OF FAITHOF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTSHistory of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—54113 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. This final Article of Faith is one that I am going to print out, laminate and post on my wall at work. Think I will make one for my kitchen wall, living room wall, bedroom wall, and a small one to carry in my purse and in my scriptures. I truly love this one. I truly need to be reminded of this one. Being honest is easy for me, same with chaste. It is the others that I struggle with. Benevolent, I am going to have to look that one up. Same with virtuous - just so I am sure that I have the right meaning. When I helped the Primary children learn the Articles of Faith, this is the one that the children loved the best. Even though this is one of the longest of the Articles it is the first that they memorized. We not only had the children memorize them, but we spent one Sunday a month explaining each one of them. Line upon line, precept upon precept. Quote
