Just watched the trailer for the third Work and the Glory movie and it says that its the end of the trilogy. Looks like they aren't going to be making the entire 9 volumes into film, and I don't think that they will be able to cram the remainder into this last film. I'm really disappointed that they are not going to do the books the full movie treatment as I think that they are fantastic. Mind you this is not going to stop me from getting the DVD when its released, if only they would release it to the cinema in the UK :angry2:

HI: GB-UK

Sorry to here that they are not going to release the film in the UK. I'm not as excited as you are to see the third movie, so I will most likely see it about the same time that you do.

I used to like to go to movies, but now I just get to bored. I think that I'm to critical with movies and can always find thing that I don't like about them. In the first two Work and the Glory's, I thought that the director was not getting everthing that he or she could, out of the cast.

Oh well, at least we have the Gospel in common (lol).

I found the first two films very entertaining but in no way as good as the books. I found the books to be both a very good read and pretty well historically accurate (apart from the fictionalised charactors etc). The films only skim the surface, but it's nice to put faces to charactors from books. I liked the guy playing the prophet Joseph, I thought he did pretty well. And the guy who played Ben Steed was also very good, just how I imagined him from the books. Did the actress playing Lydia McBride change from the first film to the second?

well i dont want to sound like a negative guy, but i just saw the trailer for this thing and i dont know it seems kinda cheesy to me, the movie i mean. LIke i saw the book of mormon movies and i dont know if anyone saw them but man o man where they cheezy. So just wondering is the movie really as cheezy as it seems in the trailer?

They made more than one BoM movie? I really thought that that was pretty cheesy. I really like Kirby Haybourne, he can be pretty funny in some of his movies. His english accent in Saints and Soldiers was hilarious :D

No these movies aren't cheesy (in my opinion) and are acted very well. Great drama, but not a patch on the books.

I was heart broken when I heard about how bad the BofM movie turned out. I always thought that Captian Moroni and the Title of Liberty story would make a great film.

By the way is AP been around? He is the expert when it comes to movies.

I hope everthing is OK with AP's father - allmosthumble
