Lainee82 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Report Posted September 26, 2012 I have never imagined I have to go through this. He has been faithful to me the last 7 years. This is the biggest trial in my life. I'm trying so hard to keep my family together. Please pray for me. I need strength to go through this. Quote
Lainee82 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Report Posted September 26, 2012 I know Heavenly Father loves me. He will show me a way to get through this. I pray everyday for my husband to be faithful to me and love me as before. Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 I don't think it's that your husband doesn't love you. Just at those times, he's choosing to love himself more. Quote
Lainee82 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Report Posted September 26, 2012 I hope you are right Eowyn. Thank you all for your comments. It means a lot to me to hear all your comments and suggestion. Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) How convenient for him.Are there legitimate medical professionals in Thailand or do you have to go to prostitutes for all your medical needs? What do you think? This sounds highly offensive, Eowyn. Did you intend to add an emoticon of some kind? Edited September 26, 2012 by anatess Quote
Guest Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 I think her husband is insulting her by trying to let on that a massage parlor is the only place he can get back relief. I think that certainly there are more reputable places in Thailand he can go for help. I think that sarcasm doesn't always translate well over the internet, especially when someone has a chip on her shoulder. Quote

I think that sarcasm doesn't always translate well over the internet, especially when someone has a chip on her shoulder.Oh, I'm the one with the chip! Took me a while to understand what you were saying coz I thought you had the chip. Sarcasm or not, it is still offensive.Thailand, like the Philippines, have a different healthcare system. Most people don't have health insurance and therefore, physical therapy or any other American standard medical treatment is a luxury for the treatment of chronic back pain. Back pains usually go to massage places - usually the neighborhood door-to-door "masseuse" who learned massage techniques from his grandfather. Or the massage parlors that may or may not offer something extra. You just have to say No to the extra. "Reputable" is a relative term. In places like Thailand, it doesn't necessarily mean it's free of extras. The answer, of course, is to shell out some money to get a real medical professional for the back pain. But in a country where even a daily dose of Tylenol can get quite expensive for a lot of people, that might not be an option. Quote
Backroads Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Here's the deal in the massage world as in many places of business: The customer is in charge. It doesn't matter what is "in" or what "all the other massage places are doing". A massage is a very personal treatment, and the customer has a lot of power in saying what is and is not acceptable. Customer=your husband. Edited September 26, 2012 by Backroads Quote
