‘Opinions’

 

It’s pretty clear to me

How differently we see

And not at all as close

As I had dreamed.

 

But one thing it could be

That is, if you agree,

For sake of argument

Let’s not get all steamed.

 

Let’s pretend in pleasantry

And consent to disagree

So that both of us

Have cause to be redeemed

 

Let’s be therefore free

Which I believe is key

And leave each other’s view

In high esteem.
