Mothership5 Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 Hello, I'm new to the forum. When I was at the temple the other night, a woman who sat a few rows in front of me wore the most beautifully crocheted veil. She left before I could speak to her. Does anyone have a pattern that you wouldn't mind sharing?I would be forever grateful :) Quote
Guest LiterateParakeet Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 (edited) Wow I've never seen anything like that. Depending on your skill level, you could adapt a pattern...for a shawl or tablecloth.I google crochet wedding veil and found some lovely over but I can't figure out how to paste the URL here with my phone. One I really liked was called a "white mantilla" so you might try googling that phrase too. Let me know if you find what you're looking for. :) Edited July 18, 2015 by LiterateParakeet Quote
pkstpaul Posted July 20, 2015 Report Posted July 20, 2015 I would think crochet to be too heavy. Knitting or tatting provide a finer lace. Quote

I used to make really light doilies. My grandma had a black crochet veil for church. Wish I still had it so I can analyze it to come up with a pattern. It's really beautiful. Quote
