Guest Ammon Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 As I sit in my elder's quorum weekly, I often find myself drifting into thought of post-church activities. Perhaps it's because it is always too hot in the room. I don't know. On occasion, however, a lesson will hook my attention and provide needed insight to a current problem. What do you get out of elder's quorum? Quote
DisRuptive1 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Luckily me and about 4 other guys split off and go to our own seperate room and have our missionary-prep class. Elder's quorum at my ward is mainly for the hard working fathers. I'm just a lazy student still lookin' for a girl. Quote
cedar Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Hard working father here. I get stuff out of it. Quote
john doe Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I've found that you get out what you put in. No effort translates to no gain. I always try to bring up points and ideas that normal people don't usually think about to stimulate discussion when I get bored, that way I have to be on the ball and ready to defend my point, but it also challenges me to think about what I really believe in as well. Guest Ammon Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Bring up the Adam-God theory... that always engenders much discussion. Quote
