well after about 6 weeks today is the day i will visit my local church of jesus christ! not sure what to expect but i am looking forward to it :D:rolleyes:

So how did it go anyway?

BTW--Convert of a year and a half. Was active Presbyterian until joined. Missionaries tracted me out. :D It took me four years to figure out that is where I needed to be, but mostly because I was stubborn and wouldn't pray about it until I knew if I did join, I would actually stick with it.

hi,

well not good, i mean the people were really friendly and i enjoyed the lesson's . its just while i was there my husband and children were at our baptist church. and i guess i just felt like the odd one out. we arrived home together and they were talking about what a good time they had with friends and family and i guess i just missed being there.

i dont have my husbands support in going to the church of jesus christ and i guess i want him to be o.k with it, as i found it very lonley on my own.

so i dont really know what to do except wait and pray and see what God has for me.

but thankyou for asking. :D

I think it's important to do things in the "due time of the Lord". Sounds like you're doing well at 'feeling' for the guidance of God as to what you should do, and when. I'm sure you're probably already praying that the Lord will soften both your heart, and your families hearts, to be prepared to accept whatever is the will of our Heavenly Father. I think the most important thing is to keep yourself focused on doing "what's right", by the impressions given you by the spirit.

Hang in there, and trust God to make it right.

I'm into your story now, did you go to church? How'd it go? Still meeting with the missionaries?

hi,

well if you read my story above i did go to church but it didnt work out so well. i guess i just missed my old church and friends and i didnt want to be the odd one out.

yes the missionaries have visted me a few times since i explained to them how i felt, they are being kind and paitent with me but they have to move area's in a few weeks and then i wont see them again.

as i said it will be in Gods time and when i feel ready, until then i will keep studying and praying and see what happens.

thanks for asking.

Yes, it would be very hard without your husband and children. Keep reading and studying. Oh...and I would guess a new set of missionaries will show up when these ones move. (I went thru four years of missionary discussions before I joined....I didn't want to leave my old church either.....but I am not married so my kids came with me.)
