If you’re a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am 99-percent positive you’re familiar with the actor you’re about to see. The challenge is, can you use the videos in this article to identify the actor and figure out where you’ve seen him before? I’ll just tell you right now, I’m not going to give away the answer until the end of the article. If the apprehension is killing you, feel free to just scroll down. If you’re up for a challenge, keep reading.
Let’s start out with a commercial that’s obviously several years old. Watch it, pay attention and see if you recognize anyone. At this point I’m not even going to tell you which character you should be watching. He’s a male, that’s all you get. Here’s the commercial, from Values.com:
Did you recognize anybody? Not yet? No worries, there are plenty more videos to go. This next one is a trailer for the Latter-day Saint movie called Baptists at Our Barbecue. I’m not going to tell you which character he is, but if you compare the actors from the previous video you shouldn’t have too much trouble figuring it out. Here’s the trailer:
Did the light bulb turn on yet? If you’re still not sure who you’re looking for, you can check out this trailer for Day of Defense. I hesitantly refer you to that trailer because, in my humble opinion, it’s not very well-done. At all. If you choose to watch it, the actor you’re looking for plays Elder Burke (one of the two missionaries in the trailer).
OR you can just watch this next commercial from Volkswagon. There aren’t many characters so I might as well tell you—the actor we’re looking at plays the father in this commercial:

The man you’re looking for is American actor/writer/director John Foss. You’ll recognize him from his portrayal of Jesus Christ in the LDS Bible Video series.
